A Step Forward:

I want to be upfront about something—I, like so many others, have experienced firsthand the absolute wrath of the toxic and very vocal Haladriel side of the fandom. The harassment, the aggression, the way it burned through spaces that were meant to be for joy and creativity—it left real scars. And I know I’m not alone in that.

That being said, I also know that not all Haladriel shippers are like this. There are those who simply love their ship and engage with it in a way that’s respectful and kind. That’s why this event is a step from us, as Elrondriels and others, to build back that bridge that has been broken and burnt.

This is not about forgetting what happened or dismissing the pain so many of us went through, absolutely not. It’s about choosing to move forward—on our terms, with clear boundaries, with a commitment to making fandom better.

We want this to be a space where people feel safe to celebrate what they love without fear.

Hey there! That’s awesome that you’re diving into Elrondriel writing—welcome to the chaos and the feels! We actually have two server lists packed with prompts, but for Reasons™ (like security measures, visibility of email addresses, and the unfortunate reality of certain unpleasant corners of the fandom), I unfortunately can’t share access to those.

BUT, to help you get started, here are five random Elrond/Galadriel prompts for inspiration:

"Storm Shelter" A wild summer storm forces Elrond and Galadriel to take shelter together. Rain-soaked and grumpy, he insists on fixing his hair, while she just sits there barefoot, laughing at his misery. By the time the storm clears, they’ve both let their walls down—though one of them won’t admit it.

"Lost and Found" Elrond misplaces a favorite book (of course), and Galadriel finds it... but not before she doodles little notes in the margins and teases him relentlessly about his "very dramatic poetry annotations." Bonus points if he tries (and fails) to make her feel bad.

"Golden Hour" During a rare quiet moment at sunset, Elrond admits he hasn’t seen much of the world beyond Lindon. Galadriel smiles and offers to show him its beauty, starting with the a Lindon bay where they’re sitting. She doesn’t miss how his eyes linger on her longer than on the horizon.

"The Secret Matchmaker" Gil-Galad gets a little too invested in trying to set them up, orchestrating increasingly ridiculous "coincidences" to push them together. The two eventually figure it out... but by then, they’re too caught up in each other to even care.

"Late-Night Conversations" Galadriel can’t sleep, so she drags Elrond out for a moonlit walk. He grumbles at first but ends up spilling something personal about his past. She listens quietly, and by the time dawn breaks, he realizes she’s the first person he’s ever felt truly at ease with.

🌟 Teenagers!Elrondriel shenanigans: Expect more bickering, sweet moments, and a hefty dose of awkward-but-heartfelt coming-of-age feels. 🌊 A Percy Jackson AU: Imagine Elrond and Elros as chaos incarnate (because twin energy + being sons of Poseidon = disaster). Galadriel, of course, is effortlessly amazing while keeping them both in line, and their dad is just... so done. There will be puns, sibling antics, and Galadriel wielding water powers like the queen she is.

Small PSA: I noticed a few asks came in for fic ideas about our beloved elves, but sadly, some folks didn’t follow up so I cannot follow up with those requests😢 I mentioned earlier that I’m only accepting DMs for requests to keep things organized, so if I haven’t responded to your idea, that’s probably why!

1️⃣ Some fans of LOTR and The Rings of Power have been very vocal about their, uh, “dislike” (or outright hate 😬) for this ship. There’s been a fair chunk of bullying and ship bashing, and we’re just trying to avoid any shadowy forces sneaking into our Corner of Rivendell.

2️⃣ Sadly, there are trolls lurking in the fandom showing racist, sexist, and downright toxic behavior. We don’t tolerate any Orcish nonsense like that. We’ve already had to ban one person, so keeping things private helps us keep this place safe and friendly.

3️⃣ I actually asked the group if they’d like to open things up a bit more a bit ago, but most folks said they prefer a cozy, small fellowship for now. It’s like our own secret Elven council—small but full of heart, chatty vibes, and epic stories!!🧝‍♂️✨
