escaflowne creatures!

Still working out the kinks after being sick for so long THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING 😭

Anyway, have some Escaflowne horses (mashing up the series and movie designs because each has elements that I like.)

Draft, Generalist, Refined, and Wildtype body types

Draft: Placid and agreeable temperament. Tails usually docked shortly after birth to prevent injury and infection. Thick manes typically kept trimmed short. Leg feathers can be trimmed short, but are more often kept long for insulation. Usually brown, bay, chestnut, or roan, rarely gray or black. May display up to 20% white spotting.

Generalist: The most common body type, with a wider range of temperaments depending on what sort of jobs they are bred for. Thick mane, long lion-like tail, legs can show some feathering but are usually clean. Can be brown, bay, chestnut, dun, black, or roan, rarely gray. May show significant white spotting. Some breeders experiment with color, turning out non-standard (and highly sought-after) coats in shades of gold, copper, champagne, and cream.

Refined: Intelligent and agreeable temperament, popular with wealthy ladies and royalty. Small but strong, with good endurance. Slender legs with no feathering, long thin tail, and a fine, silky mane. Usually gray, bay, chestnut, or black, rarely roan or brown. May show <10% white spotting, preferably none.

Wildtype: The ancestral horse, popular among smallholders, travelers, and beastfolk. Willful temperament that requires consistent work to build and maintain a working relationship. Small, trending towards cobbiness, with a thicker mane and tail, and shaggier overall than more derived breeds. May be brown, black, dun, or roan, rarely gray. May sport small white markings on the face or feet.
