Keep thinking about how these guys adjust to their new bodies/ powers and how it comes with bits of different struggles for everyone.

Sun and Gōnglì feel self consious about their appearances changing but none dares to complain in front of Dalí, considering their friend looks unrecognizable in the mirror. Yeah, they got tails and some features changed, but its still them.

Gōngzhǔ got the better part of the deal considering she doesn't have to deal with parts of her body being different or changing all together. That doesn't mean that the new powers cannot become a bother or be dangerous every time they get out of control. It scares her to think she could hurt her family if she doesn't keep them under check, of course she doesn't mention it. It feels now as if their lives had paused and none of them are sure on how to continue...

Unlike my lmk Deadpool AU (short lived as it was) I dont know jackshit about the Fantastic 4 besides the movie.... So I think im just going to have them fight a minor villain and come to the realization that this bad thing that happened could be used to help people and go from there.

Pre- Space mission Lmk Fantastic 4 from my au.

I had been dying for an excuse to draw human DBK for a while so I took it and ran.

The events of the AU vaguely follow the ones from the F4 2025 movie, but not enough were spoilers should be a major concern (I think. So far at least. I'll warn if it changes)

Niú Dalí [DBK] He/Him.

Engineer. Him and Sun grew up down the street from each other and and are best friends, to the point Dali considers her a little sister. They used to help DBK's dad in his car-shop when they were kids which fostered a love for engines and building things in him. He dreams of building soemthing big one day, and gets into a very good engenieer program. He meets Gongzhu at this university, and he falls in love.

Between dating Gongzhu and classes, he ended up changing his concentration to something more... Galactic. He joins the space program! Once they graduate he marries Gongzhu and they go on to form an space exploration crew.

After a mission gone wrong, however, he wakws up to find his body changed, drastically. Where once was a human face and tan skin, is the features of a bull and purple covering all over. He gains super strenght and becomes nearly indestructible, but its at the cost of recognizing the man he sees in the mirror.

He is glad he is alive, he is glad for the powers he gained, but he can't never quiet shake the feeling that he is trap in a body that is no longer his.

Tiěshàn Gōngzhǔ [Princess Iron Fan] She/her

Biologist/ Physicist. Gongzhu had always been fascinated by life and how it was formed. Being raised by a doctor she quickly got used to blood and weirdness of the body and became fascinated by it, obsessing about how every living creature was designed. Her mother would sit her down and explain her anathomy books and feed into her daugthers fascination.

She shared this fascination with her sister, and it took them both to pursue science later on. Gongli is the one to present the space program to her, and at the possibility to study life outside of the earth, she jumps head first.

After graduating and forming a space crew with her husband, sister and friend, she becomes half the brain in every operation.

The same mission that turns Dali into an indestructible bull gave her the ability to turn into a supernova. A fire storm now residing within her. Yet, She can't help but feel guilt over her husband distress, and even if her love has not wavered, she'll find a cure if that makes him feel like himself again.

Yué Gōnglì [6E Macaque] He/She/They.

Chemist/ Astrophysicist. As Gongzhu's younger sibling he saw first hand his sister's fascination with creatures, but where her interest lied on what was on earth, Gongli had her head stuck on the clouds and beyond. Asking their mom over and over to take her to the planetarium and space camps. Gongli graduates early and joins a space program right after high-school. People say he is a prodigy, he just thinks he was lucky his sister and mom taught faster than the schools did.

He meets Sun through Dali after Gongzhu and him get together. They hit it off right away and become great friends. Is not a secret they like each other, but they decide not to date in fear that them breaking up would cause Dali and Gongzhu to split up, so they [try] to stay as friends. Once their space crew is formed, Gongli is the other half of the brain.

After the mission gone wrong he finds that his body can turn into shadows, and he can bend them to his will. This also brings him and Sun closer together, and he doesn't know if he can keep ignoring his feelings.

Lao Sun [Sun Wukong] She/They.

Lawyer/ Engineer/ Trainer. Lao Sun always had the constant need to move, do or learn something new. Finding out from an early age that she could quickly master anything that came with any form of vague instructions. She would fix cars with Dali one day and learn everything she could of them the next. She transitions when she is 15, and Dali is with her every step of the way. This cements Dali as Sun's brother, so when he says that he wants to join a space program when she has been switching mayors over and over, she decides there was no where else she would be.

It also help's that she found's Gongzhu's sibling to be kinda cute, but that was not the point. She starts engineering for space crafts with Dali, and once the space crew forms realizes "We need a legal team" and retakes one of her dropped majors as the rest of the crew focuses on the relativity of space and else.

After the space mission gone wrong she gains the power to bend light, make shields and become invisible. She becomes the physical trainer of the team in hopes she can help Dali feel good with himself, also to help Gongzhu and Gongli keep their powers in check.

This brings Sun and Gongli closer, and after their 37th "one night stand" they realize that maybe they could be something. They are not dating... but also aren't.

Having an internal debate about what Princess Iron Fan name should be in the Fantastic 4 au.

With Sun Wukong ans DBK I just went with less used titles, Lao Sun and Niú Dalí respectibely, because they sound like names.

I could have just used Liu'Er Mihou for mac but I am not giving him the six ears in this au (at least not rigth now? ) also I like the name I use for him in fics so this is just another excuse to use Yuè Gōnglì as a name for Mac.

Now, Princess Iron fan. I could just do Tiěshàn Gōngzhǔ, which is the literall translation to her title. But since I'm making her and Mac siblings I don't know if I should keep the Tiěshàn or the Yué part. I have also been looking for other titles she might have and I keep drawing zero, so I'm not sure what to do.

to recap. The options are. Keep it Tiěshàn Gōngzhǔ and Yué Gōnglì respectively and just not ask why siblings dont share a family name. or mix them up a bit.

Oh, Also, I made up my mind 😌, Iron Fan gets the supernova fire powers. Fitting since she will birth the baby with the world ending fire.

Human Mac and Wukong for the Fantastic 4 au.

Macaque. Their name is Yuè Gōnglì, younger (or twin 👀???) sibling of PIF. Gōnglì is the brains of the team. An Atronomer and Quantum scientist. They are the one to make all the calculations when the team goes to space and get their entire anatomy fucked up. Not like it weights on their mind or anything.

After the accident Gōnglì gains the ability to turn their body into shadows and bend them to their will. He is the equivalent to Mr. Fantastic power and skill wise. Meanting that they are much more brain than brawn or fighting skill.

I imagine the moment Niù and PIF started dating Wukong and Gōnglì just saw themselfs as the 3rd and 4th wheel and became butting buddies. Teasing pals, even. They are not dating, but also... arent. They have feelings for each other are to caught up with everything to actually name their shit.

Also, as a note, all my macaques are gender fluid. Gōnglì is not the exception. Though I usually limit it to only he/she pronouns, I believe F4! Mac would use They/Them mostly in public, just to not to have to update the gen public on whatever gender she feels like that day 😌.

Wukong..... still on debate... Though know that I will be using Lao Sun as her name here.
