disabled people are worth whatever cost or resources is needed to keep them alive. disabled people are worth it even if they don't live long. they're worth it even if they will need extra support and resources for every day of their life. they're worth it even if they spend all they life indoors. none of it is wasted. none of it is in vain. time, effort, money, resources spent on a life are not wasted. these things have served their purpose. the joy of someone's existence is not undermined by not lasting forever. there's no meaningful point, some threshold where you can say "okay this is enough. after that it's not worth it." it's always worth it.

Just realized I'm living in a world where I can microwave a frozen pizza, but still have to check the instructions to make sure I'm not about to start a fire.

Sometimes I wonder if my plants are secretly judging me for my life choices. Like, they're just sitting there thinking, ‘This is the person who says they're going to water me every week and then forgets for three days straight.’

Me: "Okay, let's do this. I have a task, and I'm gonna finish it!"

Brain: starts planning what to eat for dinner in 7 hours

Me: "No, stop. We're working right now."

Brain: "But what if we made pasta?"

Me: "I'm just going to get a few things-keep it simple."

Two hours later

Me: walking out with 45 items, a coffee, and a new plant

Thinking about how Odysseus carved the wedding bed out of an olive tree, which means the bed is rooted in the ground.

Thinking about the line “You don’t think I know my own palace? I built it!”.

Thinking about the fact that Odysseus built his entire palace around that olive tree, his and Penelope’s wedding bed, a symbol of their love.

Odysseus’ world is literally built around his love for Penelope.

…..i’m not crying, i just have an odypen in my eye.

Brain: 'You're just tricking yourself into feeling accomplished.

Me: *adds "trick myself into productivity" to the list*

Also me: *wakes up 3 hours later*

Me: Well, guess I'll never sleep again. That was my one chance.
