My timebomb actors AU is NEARLY FINISHED, it's a cute one-shot written in a transcript format, just needs some editing and we'll be off to the races! Hoping to upload it by the end of the week but we'll see.

Also developing another Arcane Modern AU with all three major ships, it'll be a bit longer and very dramatic and I'll be writing it in a comic script format (like how I used to write most of my fics). All I'll say is that it'll probably be set in very bougie London and center around an art gallery. Excited to work on it soon!

When I was like 14 we had to do an assignment for geography class about volcanoes where we had to write a fictional news article about an eruption, and I was so obsessed with Silent Hill and Pyramid Head despite having never played the games that I wrote a witness quote by an immigrant butcher from Egypt called Pyr Amid Hed, he was a butcher because obviously, and Egyptian because they have pyramids there, and to be fair I think the teacher was equally as clueless as to what Egyptian names are supposed to sound like because he didn't say anything but he did think the character was awfully specific.

The big day

I'm not going to lie, I teared up a bit when drawing Loid crying 🥺

This idea came from a beautiful insta reel where a papa is listening to her daughters audio before his bride (mummy) walks down the aisle. When I saw it I just couldn't help but imagine Anya and Loid. Of course I had to add his beautiful bride (beautiful like Anya ❤️)

I didn't forget my good boy Bond! 😭 I just didn't know how to add him at the time. But don't worry, he will appear more.

My family deserves real happiness, that's what I wanted to convey here. 🥺❤️ I'm hoping they get it in the end!

How to plant information elegantly

Say, for example, you’re writing a swimming pool scene and you need to plant the fact that Susan is blonde, because in a few chapters, the detective will find a blond hair at the crime scene.

You want the planted information to be memorable, but at the same time not stand out too much. The ideal is to push the information into the reader’s subconscious without a neon light arrow saying, “You might want to remember this, dear reader. This will be relevant!” The planted information needs to feel natural, organic, but memorable enough so when it turns out to be ✨a clue✨, your reader thinks, “I should have seen it!”

Let’s look at some options.

Susan, who is blonde, took a deep breath and dived into the pool.

This feels forced and awkward. The two pieces of information (pool + blonde) are not connected, the fact that she is blonde feels irrelevant and shoved in. If the reader remembers this, it’s because they noticed how the information is forced upon them.

Organic ⭐

The blonde Susan swam across the pool. / The blonde, Susan, swam across the pool.

This feels more natural, but there’s a danger that only the swimming will stick into the reader’s mind because her being blonde is so unnoticeable. There is also a minor danger that the reader will expect an non-blonde Susan to show up in the first variation.

Susan was annoyed. She had just washed her hair with that ridiculously expensive Luscious Blonde shampoo and now her friends wanted to go swimming? What a waste of money.

This feels natural and organic, because both elements are conveyed from Susan’s point of view. They are both relevant and connected, and on top of that you get to build Susan’s character.

Her friends were already in the pool, but Susan held up her pocket mirror, making absolutely sure that the latex cap wouldn’t let any water in. She just had her hair bleached and after the debacle of 2019, she would never forget what chlorinated water did to bleached hair.

Susan’s POV makes her blond hair relevant to the swimming, as with the example above, but this time you’re presenting a completely different character. It feels organic and personal, and the fact that she is blonde will be lodged into the reader’s mind without screaming “It’s a clue!”.

listen ok, do you know what I'd kill for? Y'all know how Pixar used to animate bloopers from the voice actors like it was the actual characters talking? Yeah. I wanna hear Ella and Hailee goofing around in the studio. I wanna hear a compilation of jinx breaking character and dissolving into laughter. I wanna see ekko and jinx bantering and happy. I wanna see Caitlyn and Vi being absolute disasters together. I want to see all of em just being silly. Riot please.

thinking about a modern au where Jinx is in a group home and no one can control her, she's in and out of juvie and the mental hospital, barely goes to school, she's still passing cause she's smart but almost fails on attendance. Until Isha comes, she's this mute little kid who is super scared of all the adults but always hangs around Jinx. Jinx eventually warming up to her and taking care of her, spending her extra cash to make sure Isha has clean, good fitting clothes, always making sure Isha's eaten enough, taking her to a doctor when she's sick. Fighting tooth and nail to make sure Isha doesn't get transferred to another home. Generally getting a ton of her shit together to make sure this kid is protected.

Then as soon as Jinx becomes an adult she works her ass off to get an apartment and stable job to be able to adopt Isha. There are definitely some parts that get iffy because of all of Jinx's past but the case workers stick up for her, saying that she's improved a ton and has already been taking care of Isha. It's a stressful day when the judge decides whether of not Jinx will be fit to adopt Isha but they do end up going home together.

Ekko would wear number 4 for obvious reasons.

Jinx would wear 13 because that number is unlucky for some, or in other words, a jinx (and she debuted in 2013).

Ekko would play Shooting Guard.

Jinx would play Point Guard with Power Forward energy.

Also I just like the idea that they’d cover the backcourt together.
