Regina was listening to everything Kathryn was saying to her, and it was a little hard for her to accpet the compliments she was being given. She didn't feel like a great mother. Sure, Daphne was well on her way to becoming a doctor and Regina supported her for that one hundred percent. But what about Bay? She knew of her existance all along and never went to get her. Regina sighed to herself, not wanting to think about this right now. When she felt the blonde take her hand Regina looked up in awe of Kathryn.
"You?..Kathryn, I am so proud of you. Bay is an amazing woman." Regina took both of the blonde's hands into hers and squeezed them tightly. "...Toby is an amazing man, all thanks to you." Regina looked down at the floor thinking for a moment if she should continue with where this conversation was going. She decided to go for it. She let go of Kathryn's hands and took one more step closer to her looking into her eyes with the utmost sincerity. "I know that they are the way they are because of you and..not John." Regina knew she couldn't get any closer to Kathryn, they were already breathing the same air. She was hoping the blonde wouldn't get upset with her last comment. In almost a whisper, "I sometimes think about what it would have been like raising the girls from a young age together." Regina smiled looking down for a moment and then looking right back at Kathryn. "You are my family now, you have been for three years and although it took me a long time to adjust, I wouldn't have it any other way." She felt something strange in her stomach. Was this butterflies?
"Wow," without realizing she said the word out loud she quickly changed the subject. Taking a step back and heading towards the door to get back to the guest house, she turned around and reached for the door handle. "Yes! Let's have a girl's night, lets get changed and I'll meet you at the car in an hour?" She knew she looked like a nervous wreck. Glancing up and down at Kathryn in a non subtle way, "and wear something sexy, I am taking you dancing and I want everyone to stare." Exiting the door she thought to herself that it doesn't matter what Kathryn wears, she always looks sexy.

" To be honest I am living a little vicariously through our kids. I know that may not be in their best interest, and I should focus on their well being more so than my own. This is hard on me too, Kathryn. I guess it's more than I want to handle right now. So, I know how you feel."
Regina fought the urge to go to the liquor cabinet and pour a glass of vodka. Instead, she took a step closer to Kathryn and reached out to caress her arm. "Look, we will get through this together." Regina smiled sincerely at the blonde. "What do you say we take our minds off of things and go do something fun, eh?"
