you know what hurts? re-reading the red queen. it’s all interesting, frustrating and heartbreaking at the same time. like first you spot the little clues of mare’s lightning skill before she found out about it. and that is nice and all. but. THEN. there is this mAVeN issue and it is SO I don’t even know like at first mare does question maven’s motives and doesn’t trust him. but then he is so sweet and soft little boy puppu shade of the flame and mare starts tRUst him. and he is sweet and i almost like him too but I have to remind myself every minute what he really is. and like everything that happens is just one big lie and mare is just a fucking tool even if she literally says ”I’m not anyone’s tool at one point and at the beginning she notes about maven that ”well at least I don’t have to live with a good liar” and I just can’t like if you just knew mare if you just knew. annnnnd mare think scal is the bad one cal is the enemy and i’m just thinking of their cute little lovestory that is coming. I could go on forever about this but I’m too upset
