My name is Rea'af, a newly graduated Arabic language teacher, who was supposed to start her career and achieve the dreams she've always worked for, but instead found herself displaced from the now-destroyed city, she has always lived in, and lost any hope for a better future within it.

I initially introduced myself as a teacher from Gaza with dreams, a girl in her twenties with career plans and personal objectives to realize. But now I simply introduce myself as a human being who has lost a lot in a short period of time.

During this war, I became the most important member of our family. I'm, as an old sister, currently witnessing the future of my brothers being wasted away before my own eyes, where I have brothers who have not completed their university studies, sisters who are still young and supposed to be in school, my mother, my father, and my married sisters who now found themselves having to start from scratch when they were supposed to be catching their breath, raising their children, and having a stable life. In this view, I embarked on a mission to rescue my family or at least those who are still alive among my family, in order to secure a safe future for them out of this tragedy and help them escape Gaza.
