i love songs that can communicate something beyond words, and the subway is a really good example of that. the bridge just repeats over and and over again, until it goes towards a scream-like melody, and then it ends on an unresolved hanging a capella line. the chord progression never resolves, but chappell returns back to the original note. her feelings aren't resolved, even if the story is over, because she's still stuck in the cycle of the girl getting away from her.

that's a bit of music nerd shit tho. it's a really good song. i really really like it. rip to the live version i had downloaded for months LOL.

YES, i'm working on some cherik art!! it just keeps getting delayed because this cherik truther is very, very busy. i promised myself i'd have the art done by the end of today, but that got scrapped because i'm meeting up to have breakfast with my colleagues down at the hospital and then i have onboarding for one of my new jobs doing east palestine (not the country, the city in ohio) research. and i have a bunch of medical trainings to complete for grad school. and my suriname case study report on methylmercury toxicity and politics surrounding all that. and my grad school physical therapy data analysis job. and my part time weekend job. so yeah. busy.

but besides all that, i'll likely be able to get some work done on it, and it should be up by thursday! i REALLY don't want to have to bring my iPad with me to the mountains of croatia, so my goal is to at least get this all done with by the end of the week 😭

y'all are genuinely so sweet tho. i poked fun at how many notes my stupid fucking "i'm miserable" charles edit got, but it actually means the world to me that you turn out for what i make! especially my shitposts, god bless <3
