AITA for laughing at my crush, who’s convinced he’s cursed?

So for a little bit of backstory I (15M) recently had what I can only describe as an extremely dramatic confrontation with one of my classmates (15M) and well long story short we’re friends now. He’s also extremely pretty and way sweeter than I first thought and after what happened a couple days ago—I’m kind of falling for him is the point, moving on!

Me, my crush, and a mutual friend of ours (15M) were involved in an incident a couple days ago that I can’t go into for legal reasons, but the important bit is that we all ended up in the hospital and Mutual Friend’s hand got kind of fucked up. He and I were talking about it when Crush piped up and wondered if he was cursed, since my hand also got fucked up in the dramatic confrontation I mentioned in the backstory paragraph. It was so out of nowhere and kind of absurd that Mutual Friend and I both cracked up.

I do still think it was really funny, but I’ve also realized that Crush was in fact 100% serious and genuinely thinks he’s cursed, so now I feel kind of bad for laughing at him. AITA?

EDIT: He didn’t break either of our hands, guys! He just happened to be there both times—I actually broke my own hand being stubborn (honestly it was worth it).
