I think this is great and we should clearly be giving non-sexual predators our money HOWEVER (opinion coming) i think independent research is important as well. The only reason i’m saying this, and i’m sure there’s other examples of this, is because of John Lasseter’s tie to Coco. I’ll be the first to admit i was a huge fan of Lasseter until the allegations came out, now i have let go of him as a hero. HOWEVER (another uppercase however guys, i’m getting real) i still went to see Coco anyways. Unfortunately, i was technically supporting Lasseter by doing this, but decided that it was worth it because I was also supporting a film made by many non-sexual predators about latinx people, starring latinx people, and celebrating Mexican culture in an appropriate way. Great movie also. Yes, Lasseter EP’d this movie, but I still think it’s an important one to support. So, basically what I mean to say is that this is a great tool, but it’s not necessarily always black and white... it’s probably worth face value about 99% of the time though. Fuckin white guys, man.

Tldr; just my conflicting thoughts regarding Coco and John Lasseter

ya’ll this cool new site lets you know if a certain movie or TV show has any affiliation with anyone who was accused of sexual assault. this is important for those of us who are passionate about not supporting work that associates itself with sexual abusers, for the sake of the victims.

straight boys are weak and pathetic, queer girls walk into the ladies changing room and see ten women naked, do they stare? do they say something inappropriate? do they make them uncomfortable? no because they have the common fucking sense to recognise when a situation is sexual and that people deserve the most basic level of respect to not be harassed, yet here we are banning shorts and low cut tops in school because straight boys are weak and pathetic
