It had taken Quinn an unfortunate amount of time to realize the truth: she had feelings for Sam Evans. She wasn’t sure if they’d ever actually gone away from when they first met freshman year, but she had found a way to push them into the background - until now. The kiss was unexpected and confusing, but not at all a mistake. At least in her mind. Tonight, she was hoping she could try and figure out what Sam though. His actions would speak wonders, she was sure of it.

Hearing a knock at the door, Quinn double-checked her reflection in her mirror, and then proceeded to open the door. Greeting him with a smile, Quinn reached out for his arm and tugged him in for a hug. “Hey, you. Thanks for squeezing me in,” she said, letting go of him and taking a step in so he could follow.

Sam was determined to make tonight not weird. There wasn’t any reason for it to be. Other than the fact that the last time they were alone together they ended up kissing in front of camera crews. No big deal. But despite all that, Sam felt like Quinn was one of the few real friends he still had right now. The kiss was still confusing to him, but there was something inside him that still made him want to be around her. Like, all the time. 

Sam walked up to the door of her apartment and waited for a second. There was no need to be nervous. This was just two friends watching a movie together. He drew in a breath and put his fist to the door, knocking.

Don’t even joke about an awful thing like that.

Which I totally understand. If there were more Berry’s around here, I’d transfer.

I’m happy to be a bad influence on your sleep, then. Come over in an hour?

Is it showtime yet?

No way! I could do tonight. Not like I have any other plans going on. Besides, like, sleeping. I’ll just chug a 5 Hour Energy and call it a day.

Cool. Yeah. I totally agree. Our jobs have been keeping us pretty busy and we don’t really have scenes together in rehearsal so….. yeah. Pick a time and day, Q, and I’ll be there.

The fact that you’re one of the few people I can stand on our campus is a huge factor, actually.

And while I’m curious as to the others, I think I’m fine with knowing only that.

Sort of. It’s a fabulous movie, even if you aren’t a musical person. No, I definitely wouldn’t mind that. It... would be nice to see you, actually.

Is it showtime yet?

Nah, I haven’t. Pretty weird, right? I feel like the director would get pretty pissed at me if I let him know that…. So maybe we probably should watch it. You know, if you didn’t mind watching it again or whatever.

I’m not doing so terribly, actually. Things were a bit rocky a little while ago, but I feel like everything has fallen into place with this job and my role in the musical. How are you?

Those are good too, usually most things with garlic is always a win, like perogies or mashed potatoes. So um..how are you Quinn?

Happy Hour is every Monday through Friday from 4 to 7. You should stop by sometime and find out for yourself.

Oh, really? Think you could make me a Tequila Sunrise that will beat out all the others?

Between that and spending more time with Sebastian than usual, yes, I’m fairly up to speed with the latest in bartending. Pretty soon I’ll be flipping bottles and spinning glasses.

Like a protest? We’d probably get fired. I bet there are tons of young adults willing to take over for us.

Well, if everyone was there at once then that would just be like, a really long break and they’d have to close everything. I don’t think our boss would appreciate that, unfortunately.

Glad to know we’re all thinking the same thing. Still, I have a bikini body to maintain.

As if anyone actually bakes the dough anymore.

And now I’m seriously craving some myself. Think anyone would judge if I bought a think of cookie dough but didn’t actually bake any cookies?
