On to Tom Baker as our 4th doctor! I can see why everyone sees him as the Doctor of the classic series. He brought a lot of the quirky unseriousness back into the show and mastered the cooky genius characterization. I also found his surprisingly deep voice pleasant to listen to. All the better, because the scientific explanations (fictional or not) were finally making more of an appearance! Although I did enjoy his Doctor, he's still not quite my favorite from the classic series. Patrick Troughton still takes the top spot for me. I, unfortunately, didn't enjoy the main storyline of Tom's seasons with the black and white guardians. I rather enjoyed his time with Sarah Jane Smith and Romana 2.0, and I adored Leela. But it started to go downhill for me right at the end after he picked up Adric. Overall, I was impressed by what Tom brought to the role, and he's left me with high expectations on what's to come next!

I made it to color TV! Jon Pertwee as the third doctor was interesting to say the least. The unstable beginnings of a new regeneration made me laugh out loud, and I appreciated a doctor who stood for action. I did find him to be a bit of a short-tempered doctor, especially to poor old Jo Grant. But he embodied a father figure the most to me during that time. My favorite part of his seasons was probably the Brigadier. I didn’t quite enjoy the constant use of the Master or the mostly parked TARDIS. But, of course, the introduction of Sarah Jane Smith made up for a lot of that! This was also the first time something seemingly small and insignificant circled back to the the Doctor’s finale, and, in the end, I was sad to see him go.

Just finished watching the Patrick Troughton as the 2nd Doctor! He was such a drastic change from William Hartnell. He was quirky, actively engaging, and humorous. His companions grew on me, and I enjoyed seeing glimpses of what Doctor Who would become today (sonic screwdriver, Time Lords, etc). To me, he’s the true beginning of Doctor Who. It’s a shame most of his episodes have been lost.

i don't intend to buy hogwarts legacy until it's on sale (i dont care how long i have to wait), but ive watched some gameplays and wondered what i would choose with the level of customization the game gives you. i took the old pottermore quizzes and im posting my results here in case i forget my login. i think this will save me a lot of time in the future for my first playthrough
#hogwarts legacy#hufflepuff#customization takes me years to get through#i probably wont play this until next year and that's okay

I’m currently watching Classic Who online for the first time starting with the first doctor. I don’t think I’m a huge fan of the Doctor in these first seasons. He seems more like a side character than anything, spends quite a few episodes either sick or passed out, and there are far less moments of “genius” that I love from the modern series. It is amazing to see how the series became what it is today, and watching these old episodes makes me appreciate how much less problematic the modern series is to what it was before.
The first Doctor, William Hartnell (January 8, 1908 – April 23, 1975)
