Can you not see

That this world has corrupted the child inside

And she is trapped- no longer able to dream

She began beautiful as a lily

Soul as giving as a daffodil

Exposed to endless misery

Of her sanity she lost control

Beast after beast men tore her apart

Mother living helplessly

The young child learned to be smart

On her own she was reckless

But never with her heart

From birth her punishment was endless

But she learned to play her abusers like an art

The girl who waited to be saved

Never was rewarded

But still, the girl lost something she craved

And any future seemed distorted
