Times up (Barry x Reader) “happy ending.”
A/n: This not only took too long to finish, but also I got way to carried away with this.Â
“Hey, guys!”
Barry greeted Cisco and Caitlin, both trying to complete their projects on the computer they simultaneously raised their hands, not even bothering to look up at him.
Barry smiled, shaking his head he went to grab his phone, which he didn’t remember leaving at Star Labs.
Picking it up he put it in his pocket, making sure to remind himself not to forget it next time, before Barry exit the room he stopped in place, confused at the empty feeling he was receiving in his stomach.
Placing his hand ontop his stomach he shifted uncomfortably, shaking it off he continued to go on his way to patrol.
After the night was over Barry was exhausted. His eyes felt heavy as he slowly dragged himself to his bed, making sure to kick off his shoes before jumping in.
Barry sighed out in content, sinking into the pillows and blanket that felt as smooth as your skin, wait, “your skin?” Who was this person he was comparing to the sheet? Caitlin? No... why did this soft feeling feel so familiar? Barry couldn't think straight, his head was hurting for some odd reason, almost like he was trying hard to think of an idea but couldn't find the right words or thought.Â
Barry sighed, shifting himself over to the right side of the bed. Didn’t he understand why? He didn’t usually sleep on this side, but he felt strange sleeping on the right side like it wasn’t his.Â
Thinking he was just tired, Barry closed his eyes and thought rest was all he needed, and he would feel better in the morning.Â
The shine of the sun coming through the curtains was Barry's indication it was early; too early. Just as Barry was about to go back to sleep, he suddenly got the feeling he was supposed to do something, almost like a routine.Â
Barry turned his head toward the clock resting on his nightstand, the bright red numbers showing 6 AM. Barry knew for a fact he never got up this early for work, yet he couldn’t help but think this was something he'd done before.Â
Frustrated he decided he would get up and start his day.
Usually, whenever Barry got ready, he would use his speed. However, this morning he couldn’t seem to get in the mood for going fast. He felt lost, just completely useless.
He took his time with everything he did, or even more slowly than usual.Â
Going to his kitchen to make some coffee he walked back into the living room to turn on the news. He started flipping through channels, then stopping almost instantly to something that sparked his interest.Â
He listened carefully as the news reporter talked. “Police state and I quote, "Adam Sang just magically showed up, it’s like he somehow just appeared." I have a gut feeling the Flash had something to do with this. Flash, if you’re listening, thank you.”Â
Barry smiled, upon hearing the praise. It always was nice to listen to things like that once in a while, reminding himself why he did what he did, and knowing that there are still people who were worth protecting.
Hearing the coffee pot finish, Barry went to pour himself a cup.
Opening the cabinet he reached for his red mug; his movements held when he noticed that there was an empty stop next to it.
Barry couldn’t understand why but it felt like there was supposed to be something next to his mug. His arm was feeling on autopilot as he placed his hand in the empty stop, despite knowing there wasn’t anything there.
Hesitate he went back to grabbing his mug, pouring himself a cup of coffee.
Barry went to lean against the wall as he listened to the tv, talking about the weather.
As he sipped his coffee, Barry glanced at the rug on his wood floors. He kept his stare at the spot that was near the tv, it bothering him the most.
He didn’t understand why, but he felt sad while looking at that spot. So much so, he wanted to cry, so mad he wished to destroy it, so guilty he-
“What the hell is wrong with me!” Barry said aloud, putting his mug down he swiftly grabbed his jacket and sped out the door.
He speeds over to jitters to grab his and team flash usual orders.
Walking into the lab, he didn’t say anything to Cisco as he set down his drink.
“Hey dude,” Cisco spoke up, taking ahold of his drink. “Caitlin should be here soon.”
“Alright,” Barry set down the drink carrier and sipped from his cup. “What you working on?”
“Ah! I’m glad you asked!” Cisco wheeled his chair closer to Barry holding out a small flash drive.
Barry raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”
“This baby, is the Flash Runs Even Swifter and Harder, or as I like to call... FRESH.”
Barry snorted at the name, receiving an eye roll from Cisco.
“I know! Not my best idea for a name but I was kinda on a time crunch.”
“Good morning everyone,” Caitlin greeted, smiling to Barry as he handed her a coffee cup.
“You get enough sleep last night Barry?” Caitlin asked.
“Huh?” Barry furrowed his brows, “yeah?”
“Sorry, it’s just... you usually don’t get more than one coffee unless you need it.”
Barry looked at the drink carrier he was holding earlier. He frowned at the sight of another drink, which he didn’t remember ordering.
Taking ahold of the drink, Barry drank out of it, and just at once he felt dizzy. “Woah.”
Barry leaned against the desk, his hand holding onto his head. He thought Cisco or Caitlin was saying something, but the light ringing in his head kept him from focusing on what they were saying.
Barry suddenly saw images flash in his head, a woman sitting across from him at jitters. He couldn’t make out her face, but she was laughing, trying to cover her smile with her coffee cup.
Barry tried to reach for her, but as soon as she looked back, he was suddenly looking up at Cisco and Caitlin.
The bright light of Star Labs shined down upon his face, causing him to close his eyes. He was trying hard to get back into those flash’s, trying to get a better look at the face he saw.
“Barry! Are you okay?!”
He turned his head to Caitlin who was checking his heart rate. It was then Barry realized he was on the floor. Standing up, he looked around him to still find himself at Star Labs.
“I- I don’t know what just happened.”
“Dude, maybe you should head home and sleep, you look... drained.” Cisco bluntly spoke.
“Uh, yeah,” grabbing his coffee he caught a glimpse of the extra coffee he didn’t order.
“You okay Barry?” Caitlin asked, “you want me to take some test?”
“No.. no... I need time to rest I think.” Barry reassured, walking out of Star Labs he headed back home.
Two weeks, it’s been two weeks since Barry has gotten more than three hours of sleep.
The day he came home from his weird experience at Star Labs he tried to get rest. Flopping on his bed, he would close his eyes and try to sleep. Every single time he fell asleep, he’d wake up in sweat, panic overtaking him as he would try and catch his breath.
Barry's dreams where all different almost every night. It always showed the same person, a girl. He’d continuously dream of her, but never her face; he couldn’t remember it well enough to give a description.
His dreams would never be the same, except one. One thought was always repeating itself, and it scared Barry more than ever. It ended with him carrying a body, the room getting smaller as the person he was holding slowly started to fade away.
That was the only time Barry caught a glimpse of her face, but it wasn’t pleasant as he’d wished it would be. Every time she faces towards him, her eyes were gone, leaving pitch black holes, blood slowly pouring out of them.
It was worse than any horror film he’d ever seen. He’d hoped it would stop, but it always got worse.Â
These nightmares had been going on for a week, every single night Barry would have a dream or what felt more like a memory, but. Every time he would wake up in sweat and panic.Â
Cisco and Caitlin had called nonstop, but Barry didn’t have it in him to respond. He felt his body become weaker as he lost more sleep, which leads to him not eating.Â
Barry felt like his place was so empty, he walked around for a couple of hours to find things he felt were missing. His closest was the one that bothered him the most, leading him on as it wasn’t as full as he thought it should be.Â
Barry had decided to bite the bullet and go to Star Labs, knowing full well the mouth full he was about to receive from Caitlin and Cisco.Â
Walking inside his eyes squinted at the bright lights, covering his face he sat himself down in the chair.Â
“Dude, you look terrible, also where have you been?!” Cisco rolled his chair towards Barry. “You haven’t been answering any of mine or Caitlin calls, Joe and Iris said they hadn’t seen you all week.”Â
“Yeah, I know, I’m sorry.” Barry sighed, slowly sinking in his chair. “I just haven’t had much sleep lately.”Â
“Dude, what's going on?” Cisco leaned in more to try and hear his mumbling.Â
“This stupid girl!” Barry yelled out, “I can’t stop dreaming about her! She's driving me crazy!”Â
Cisco smiled. “A girl huh?”Â
Barry groaned out, “Cisco, no, not like that. She- she isn’t real.”Â
“What?”Â
“Its this girl, I don’t know who she is, but she's in every dream I have, and I can’t stop thinking about her. She seems so familiar, yet I have no idea who she is, I don’t know what to do.” Barry rubbed the bridge of his nose.Â
“You could start by answering your phone,” Caitlin walked by, setting herself against the desk.Â
“I know, I’m sorry- please just let me get my head straight.”
“Head!” Cisco shouted, making Barry cover his ears. “Dude, let me vibe you!”
Both Caitlin and Barry glanced at each other, “what?”
“Maybe what you’re experiencing isn’t a dream, maybe it’s a memory.”
“I mean, would that even work?” Caitlin asked. “What if you see something that Barry doesn’t want you too?” She stated.Â
Barry sat in his chair wondering. He made a decision.Â
“Do it.”
“Barry!”
“I trust Cisco. I know if there's anything that I haven't told him yet, I would have told him later, or he would have found out eventually.” Barry looked to Cisco who looked a bit touched by his statement. He turned back to Caitlin, “I gotta find out.”
Caitlin gave a hesitant glance but rolled her eyes upon seeing Cisco pleaded from behind Barry.Â
“Fine!”Â
“Yes!” Cisco cheered. “Alright, lover boy-”Â
“Don’t call me that.”
“Too late! Let's do this!”Â
Just like that Cisco placed his hand on Barry's shoulder, Barry felt a slight shock go through him, almost like getting shocked by static electricity from clothes.Â
Cisco suddenly came out of his vibe, completely frozen; his eyes were almost blank as if he were staring off into space. “Woah.”
“What? What did you see?” Barry asked hastily.Â
“It- it was the girl, but-”
“But?!?” Barry was starting to get impatient at this point.Â
“Oh, oh my god.” Ciscos eyes had gotten wide at this point, his hands running through his hair. "Oh- oh wow." Cisco started pacing back and forth, biting his nails as he mumbled under his breath.Â
"Cisco, what's wrong? What did you see?" Caitlin stepped in front of Cisco to stop him from moving.Â
"Y/n!" He suddenly shouted, "oh my god, we are horrible friends, how did this happen?!"Â
Barry and Catlin glanced at each other, both worried for their friend. Cisco noticed their expression and sighed in frustration. Â
"Y/n, Y/n L/n! Catilin she was your best friend!" Turning to look at Barry. "Dude, how can you not recognize her name?!? She's the love of your life! The person I would always geek out with, talk about movies, tv shows, and even upgrades for your suit! Gosh, I can't believe we forgot her!"Â
Catilin covered her mouth, shock taking over her as her eyes began to water. Barry, on the other hand, was remembering everything, from the first time they meet to their first date and kiss, everything up until-
"No," Barry whispered out, he was glad he was sitting down, the feeling of loss of balance from the sudden dizziness and headache he was feeling was too much at this moment.Â
"Woah, Barry, are you okay?" Cisco noticed the distress his friend was feeling. "Dude, what's wrong?"
Barry felt his eyes began to water, replying the memories of that night in his head over, and over, remembering the feeling of her dying in his arms.Â
"She- she's gone. How could I let this happen?"
Both Cisco and Caitlin looked at each other melancholy, not knowing what to say, they both stood there heartbroken over their friend.Â
Cisco suddenly ran to his computer, typing furiously he looked focused on the screen not seeing the expressions he was receiving from his friends. He started to mumble under his breath again, still typing fast on his computer.Â
"Bingo!" Cisco yelled out, throwing his hands in the air. Before Barry or Caitlin could question him, Cisco ran out of the Lab.Â
A few minutes had passed when Cisco finally came back with a newspaper in hand.
“Cisco?”
“Dude, you need to go back in time!”
“What?”
Handing out the paper Barry’s eyes widened upon reading the article.Â
"Wait, is this-"
"The crash that killed Y/n? Yes, yes it is."Â
"Where did you find this?" Caitlin asked, taking the newspaper and reading though.Â
"I remember this happening last year, I don't know why, but I've always had this strange feeling towards it. I think it's because I didn't remember, but now that I do it feels so familiar."
"But, how is this supposed to help Y/n? Adam erased her from the timeline." Barry asked, sadden by the thought.Â
"No, he didn't. He erased Y/n from your timeline. That means your paths never crossed, so you didn't have the chance to save her that day." Cisco explained.Â
"So if Barry goes back to save her-"
"Their paths cross again." Cisco smiled.Â
Barry stood up, quickly putting on his Flash suit. He had never been more driven to do anything else in his life.Â
"Wait, won't bringing her back be messing up the timeline?" Caitlin asked.
"Adam Sang already did that by erasing her from Barry's timeline. Going back to save her would restore it, no catch involved." Cisco grinned wide, typing away at his keyboard getting ready for Barry to run.Â
"Ready Barry?" Cisco glanced up to his friend who was already in a run position.Â
"Ready." Barry just said, not wasting a second he ran off.
Barry stopped after getting to the scene of the crash; he quickly looked around to the flipped cars till he found Y/n. Running over he smiled upon seeing your unconscious body, but that smile instantly went away once he saw the giant cut across your head.Â
Acting fast, Barry got your car door free from the rubble. Picking you up he ran to a park that was nearby, but before he left he placed a small kiss on your forehead.Â
Stirring awake Barry ran himself behind a building, making sure you hadn't seen him before you woke up. Right as Barry was about to leave to his timeline, he caught a glimpse of the yellow streak making its way toward the crash.Â
He watched as his past self looked around hastily before finally noticing your body on the ground. His past self ran right over to you, checking you for any critical injuries before picking you up and taking you to the nearby hospital.Â
Barry smiled to himself, knowing that everything else would fall into place. Running off, Barry made it back to his timeline stopping in Star Labs with Cisco and Caitlin still where he left them.Â
"How did it go? Did you save her?" Caitlin rushed over, checking Barry for any injuries.
Before Barry could respond, the sound of someone walking down the hall caught everyone's attention. Feeling himself freeze up, Barry waited anxiously for whoever was here to come into view.Â
Seeming like forever, the one person he had missed was currently standing in front of them all. Your bright smile showed as you greeted everyone in the room, utterly oblivious to what just happened.Â
"Hey, guys." You greeted sweetly, looking at your friends in front of you.Â
Barry stood frozen in his spot, watching as Cisco was the first one to move towards you.Â
Walking up to you, Cisco wrapped his arms around your frame and spun you around in a circle.Â
You started to laugh at his sudden action, "Cisco, not that I would ever reject a hug from you, but what are you doing?"
Just then Caitlin ran up to you and wrapped you in her arms as well, both his friends squeezing the air out of you.Â
"Uh, guys?" You struggled to get out, but both of them didn't make any effort to let go. "Can't breathe."
Both suddenly backed off, tears in Caitlin's eyes while Cisco couldn’t stop smiling.Â
You stood there smiling at the sudden affection you were receiving but couldn’t help but wonder.
“Y/n.”
Barry called out your name, almost like he was afraid to say it out loud. Walking forward he slowly made his way toward you like he was approaching an animal.Â
“Barry, what’s going on? Why is everyone acting strange?”Â
Barry didn’t respond, he just kept staring at her like he couldn’t believe she was standing in front of him. His eyes began to water, and finally, he stopped in front of her. His hand reached up to stroke her cheek, her eyes followed.Â
“Barry?”
He didn’t respond again; instead, he engulfed her, his arms wrapping around her body as he pulled her into his chest. He pulled back, looking into her eyes for a second before he kissed her.Â
Y/n was still confused, but she would never refuse a kiss from Barry. She wrapped her arms around his neck propping herself up on her tippy toes. Both standing there for a few moments; until finally, Cisco cleared his throat.Â
Pulling away Y/n smiled at Barry, “Not that I’m complaining, but that was one hell of a kiss for me only being gone an hour.”Â
“Oh, Y/n you have no idea,” Caitlin spoke up. “I think you should sit down.”
Y/n sat for 15 minutes. Listening to both Cisco and Caitlin about Adam Sang and how that you died in that car accident that day. Barry didn’t say anything, he only stood behind Y/n with his arm on top her shoulder.Â
“Wow.”
Y/n didn’t know what to say. Although she didn’t have any memories of this happening, she could tell her friends were affected deeply. It had her feel special and loved by those who she knew she could trust.Â
“Yeah, crazy, we know.” Cisco looked to Barry who still hadn’t said a word while he and Caitlin were talking.Â
Caitlin seemed to notice too, her attention transferred to Cisco who gave her a knowing look. “Cisco and I are going to check some...project.”
“Yep! that sounds like a good idea!” Both smiling suspiciously, they quickly walked out. Y/n noticed both of them give a glance to Barry on their way out.
Turning her chair around to face Barry she took hold of his hand. “You okay?”
Barry sighed, kneeling down he brought her hand up to give a little peck. “No, I’m not. You died, not only that, but you were taken out of my life completely. I wasn’t there to save you.”
“Barry-”
“I remember it.”
“Remember? Remember what?”
“The night he killed you. Since Cisco used his powers, I remember holding you, the way your body felt limper as time passed.” His eyes were beginning to water at this point. “I watched you slowly faded away, literally. There was absolutely nothing I could do. I never want to lose you like that, I never wanna feel that helpless again.”
“Barry look at me,” gripping his hand tighter. “I’m right here, nowhere else but in front of you. You all saved me, twice in fact now.” Leaning forward Y/n kissed him for a quick second before pulling away. “I will be here for however long you want or need me, always part of your timeline.”
“Good, because I don’t know what I would do without you.”Â
Y/n smiled at that, watching as his demeter started to lift. “Come on, let's go get something to eat.”
Gripping your hand you both walked out together their hands intertwined. “I love you, and I never wanna run out of time with you.”Â
“I love you too Barry, and you never will.”Â

Times up (Barry x reader) Part 3
Summary: Y/n is face to face with the man who’s been hurting her.
A/n: if you all want a happy ending don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll get to writing it as soon as I can.
“Adam sang.”
Your voice cracked but you tired to keep your posture. You knew if he saw how scared you were he would just use that against you. He was standing next to your tv stand, holding a picture of you and Barry that was supposed to be next to your bed placed on your nightstand.
“Boyfriend?” He smiled, placing the frame on the tv stand. “Red really doesn’t suit him. Has he tried yellow?”
Your heart dropped, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He laughed, taking a step toward. “It took me awhile to figure out who he was; since he’s just some police nobody who hides behind a microscope.” Reaching into his pocket he pulled out another photo. This one was the picture you kept on your desk at work, everyone from the office who you worked with was in it.
“The Flash will be here for you any minute. You should really leave.” You suggested, hoping that might make him leave.
“Good. It will be more entertaining watching as I erase you from his timeline.” Adam put your office picture down and picked up the photo of you and Barry.
“Why are you doing this? You don’t know me!” You raised your voice slightly, trying to cover up the fear behind it.
“Once I figured out who the Flash was I quickly researched him. I wanted to know who he was close too, so that way I could watch as the people he loved the most disappear from his life. Just like mine did when he locked me up in that hell! ” Adams voice spoke with hatred and angry, making you take another step back.
“You did those things!” You yelled out. “You used your powers to hurt people! How could he not put you away?”
“I wasn’t the bad guy!” He screamed. “The people I erased deserved what they got! Those politicians and businesses men were doing much worse then I was!”
“But you messed with timelines, people weren’t born or even worse... killed. Even if those people were bad you don’t have the right to play with life and death!” You continued to push your point, not making any indication that you were backing down.
“Look... this isn’t anything against you. Unfortunately you’re the one he cares about the most, so that makes you the perfect target.” He almost sounded sorry when he spoke, but you weren’t in the mood for showing pitty.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw a bright yellow light come towards your building. Your heart filled with joy at the thought of him coming. Suddenly your expression fell at the sound of him breaking the frame and pulling out the photo of you and Barry.
“What the hell are you doing?!” You shouted.
He ignored you and slowly placed his right hand intop the photo. “I’m sorry about this.” He glanced up and smiled. “I’m sure your life will be much better without him.”
Before you could say anything his hands started to smoke and the picture caught on fire. It wasn’t burning away but you saw as the picture was changing, taking you away from it and only leaving Barry.
This must be how he changed people timelines, he used their pictures! All pictures hold memories and if those pictures were changed, so would the memory.
Suddenly the door flew open and in came Barry standing right next to you. Your eyes widened and followed him as he sped his way over to Adam, taking him who knows where.
The picture fell onto the floor slowly losing its flame. You quickly ran over to it and picked it up wanting to see if anything had changed. Your eyes widened as you saw the picture hadn’t gone back to normal, but instead just showed Barry by himself.
You fell to the floor not caring how much it hurt when your knees hit the ground. Tears had slowly start to form as your mind went for the worse.
You didn’t want to disappear! You loved your life and the people in it! Caitlin, Cisco, Iris, Joe, your parents... Barry... no... oh no. Barry. He was the one who saved you. You wouldn’t be alive if he hadn’t saved you from the car accident. That was how you meet! You weren’t disappearing only because you wouldn’t be in Barry’s life but because he wouldn’t be in yours, and if he wasn’t in yours you would never have been saved. You would die that day, you would be stuck in your crushed car slowly bleeding from your head as you saw your last moments.
It was then that Barry came back and kneeled down next to you. “Y/n! You’re okay, that’s great!” He smiled pulling you into a hug. He frowned upon realizing you weren’t reacting to his hug, pulling you back he saw how much tears had escaped your eyes and how puffed and red they were. “Y/n what’s wrong? It’s okay, he’s gone now, behind bars like he should be.”
“It’s too late.” You whispered so quiet that Barry almost didn’t catch it.
“Too late? What do you-“ Barry froze upon seeing your face start to disappear. He stood up quickly taking a step back to see your whole body was still fading back and forth.
“I’m sorry Barry.” Your voice cracked, standing up you held out the photo in your hand that was shaking violently. “ he’d done his damage before you took him.”
”No... no, no, no!” Barry cried out, taking the photo and quickly noticing you weren’t in it. The photo was the same one he kept in his wallet, of course he noticed you were missing from it.
Taking ahold of his hands you gripped them tightly gaining his attention. “Barry, I love you so-“
“No!” Barry yelled out, “I refuse to let this happen! I promised I would save you and I will!”
“Barry-“
“No, please I- I can’t lose you too.” He cried, wrapping his arms around you.
“It’s okay, you won’t remember me Barry, you will be alright soon. This pain won’t even exist once I’m gone.” You ran your fingers through his hair to try and soothe him.
“Please Y/n, I love you so much.” He was sobbing now, his tears wetting your shirt but you didn’t care.
You felt that feeling again from before and the next thing you knew your legs gave out.
Barry of course caught you, leaning you up against his chest he watched as your body started to become more faded each time. His heart was hurting and his stomach felt sick, he felt useless watching you fade in his arms.
Your hand came up and cupped his cheek, your thumb slowly grazing his face. “I love you Barry. No matter what timeline or other world we’re in. I couldn’t have asked for anyone else, and wouldn’t even be who I am without you.”
Barry leaned down and kissed you slowly, taking in the feeling of your lips, the taste and softness they brought. You had opened your mouth, giving him access to explore and deepen the kiss. He pulled back once he needed air, loving the way you were just as breathless as he was. Keeping his eyes closed he felt your hand run though his hair and mess with his brown locks.
Pulling him down you gave a little peck on his cheek, then leaning in to whisper in his ear. “Thank you.”
Barry suddenly felt a cold air take over, as he slowly opened his eyes he started to sob again.
You were gone.

Times Up (Barry x Reader) Part 2
Summary: Team Flash tries to figure out how to help Y/n, turns out someone else is the cause of her stress.Â
Once team flash had witnessed your problem they quickly went to work on trying to figure out how to fix it.
Caitlin had asked if she could take some blood samples. Cisco, of course, was trying to think of what they should call you, already giving out ideas on what he was envisioning you wearing. You knew he was mostly joking so you two went back and forth for a while on the idea.
You were currently in the med bay sitting on the bed watching your feet dangle off the side. Barry was standing near you, he hadn't taken his eyes off you since he saw what happened earlier.
Reaching out your hand you felt Barry intertwine his fingers with yours rubbing his thumb across yours. You wished you knew what he was thinking since all he gave you were blank stares and hadn't said a word since he saw what happened.
”Barry?” you looked up at him, “you haven’t said anything. Are you okay?”
Barry looked down at you his eyes focused on yours, he softly smiled leaning down to kiss the top of your head. “I should be asking you that,” he rested his forehead on yours. “Are you okay?”Â
You sighed, “honesty? I don’t know. I feel weird.”Â
“Weird?” Barry asked concerned. “Like how weird?”Â
You settle your feet on the floor taking a step back from Barry feeling your body get cold. Taking a look down you saw it was happening again, you were disappearing.Â
“Cisco! Caitlin!” Barry yelled out, reaching his hand out to try to keep you from moving. “Get in here now!”Â
Both of them rushed into the room watching in shock as your body was going back and forth to becoming see through. You felt tears start to well up in your eyes as you looked to Barry panicked. He didn’t know what to do, he felt helpless in the situation as he watched you scared.
Your body became stiff as you watched your own form slowly fading back and forth. Then it stopped, suddenly you were fine, no fading or slowly disappearing.
Sighing in relief you looked back up to your friends, still feeling the tears down your face wetting your shirt. “It lasted longer this time.” You whispered “I thought I was going to disappear completely.”
“I’m going to check on those samples.” Caitlin said, walking back to her lab.
“I’ll see what I can do to try and- “ Cisco waved up and down are you, “about that.”Â
Barry engulfed you into his arms holding you tightly against his chest. “Are you okay?”Â
“I thought I was gone, I was going to disappear. I thought-” A sob escaped you as you buried yourself into Barrys chest.Â
“Hey, look at me,” Barry pulled you back to look at him. “I won't let anything happen to you. Ok? You're not going anywhere.”Â
You nodded slowly, reaching up on your tippy toes to kiss Barry. He responded eagerly, placing his hands on the side of your face. Pulling back to catch your breath you stared up at him smiling as he was already looking at you.Â
“Guys!” Cisco yelled from his computer.Â
Both you and Barry looked up to see Cisco waving his hand in the air frantically. “I just found something you all need to see!”Â
Walking over you saw Cisco had a video feed pulled up on the screen, a man who you've never seen before with tattoos scattered across his body. You looked up to Barry who's expression all of a sudden darkened. “Who is that?”
“Adam Sang.” Barry said, his voice laced with anger. “He was a meta-human who we put away a few months ago. He had the ability to mess with peoples time lines, change their futures.”Â
A chill ran up your back as Barry talked about him. Barry noticed and smiled sadly, putting his arms around your waist he rested his head on your shoulder.Â
“He was causing a bunch of problems, it was hard to catch him. Once we did we were asked by the mayor himself to fix what he did, we didn’t have a choice but to give him over to the police. They thought it was best they keep him locked up.” Cisco leaned back in his chair, “Now he’s escaped and is possibly ruining your timeline.”
Barry used his foot to kick Cisco in the leg.
“Ouch! What?!” Cisco looked to you then quickly realized what he said. “But don’t worry! We will definitely catch this guy!”
You smiled at Cisco then looked back at the man on the screen. “You think he’s the reason this is happening to me?”
“Well you’re not a meta-human, that’s for sure.” Caitlin walked in suddenly.
“How do you know?” Barry asked.
“Test results came back normal, she doesn’t show any sign of meta activity.” She replied, looking at you with a sad smile.
“But why me.” You mumbled, “he doesn’t even know me!”
“We will find out, I promise. I’m not letting this guy ruin your timeline.” Barry started to make his way towards his suit.
“Dude, where are you going?” Cisco questioned.
“I’m going to find this guy.”
“How do you plan on doing that?”
“I’ll let you know when I think of it.” Barry pulled up his hood, looking ready to go.Â
“Cisco and I should go and try to fix up the old blaster we used to stop him last time.” Caitlin looked to Cisco who nodded and got up to follow Caitlin to the weapon room.
You looked to Barry who was already staring at you. He could instantly tell how nervous you were and he couldn’t deny that he was too.
“Barry?”
“Yes?”
“How long do you think it will take?” You asked, tears slowly forming, you looked down so Barry couldn’t see.
“How long will what take?”
You looked up at him, “for you to forget me” you felt the tears slowly make their way and did your best to keep them in.
“Oh, Y/n. No.” Barry started but you knew better.Â
“Barry, don't. You can’t say you haven’t thought about it. You know that if this guy is really the one causing me to disappear- which he most likely is! You heard Caitlin, I don’t have meta-human powers.”Â
“I’m not listening to this.” Barry speed in front of you, holding you by the arms. “Please, babe, stop talking like this. I refuse to let this guy get in your head.”Â
“Barry-”
“I love you. Okay?” Barry smiled softly, placing a kiss onto your forehead he speed off.Â
It had been an hour since Barry left to look for the guy who was causing you to disappear. It felt like an eternity but you knew you were just being anxious. Cisco did his best to make you feel better by trying to talk about anything else.Â
“Hey, Cisco suddenly spoke up “maybe you should head home Try and get some rest?”Â
“I don't even think I could blink; much less close my eyes long enough to sleep.” You continued to stare at the screen. “I just want Barry to come back.”
Cisco smiled, putting his hand on your shoulder. “I know, trust me.”Â
You were kinda tired from the stress of today and a nap didn’t sound bad. “I guess I could go and try to rest for a bit... but-”
“I’ll call you as soon as Barry gets back or we find anything else out.” Cisco turned your chair towards the door.Â
Laughing you got up and headed towards the door, looking back to Cisco one more time. “Promise?”Â
Cisco nodded, watching you turn your back he quickly went back to finding this guy.Â
You started to feel better as soon as you stepped foot into your apartment. It was pretty comforting being in your shoebox place. Taking a breathe you slipped off your shoes and headed straight for the soft couch.Â
“Getting comfortable?”Â
Your body stilled as you became paralyzed, a sudden terror feeling of wanting to scream but couldn’t seem too. You didn't want to turn around but your body seemed to have a mind of its own. Slowly face the voice who had spoken you suddenly felt your heart drop and a nasty feeling in your stomach emerge.  You only recognized him from the old photo Cisco had, but nevertheless it was him, tattoos and all. Finally seeming to gain your voice you said his name, mentally slapping yourself at how scared your voice sounded.Â
“Adam Sang.”Â

Times Up (Barry Allen x Reader) Part 1
A/n: this was just something I thought up when I was laying in bed night dreaming.
Summary: Y/n woke to the day already going against her. But when she starts to literally fade away she runs to star labs to seek help from her friends and boyfriend. Hoping they can save her from completely disappearing forever.
Feeling the sun shine down upon you, you slightly groan as you realized you would have to get up. Peeking your head up to check the time you saw it was already 9 pm, cursing you quickly get up and hurry for work which you were already late for. You tried to send a quick text to your coworker who was also your backup Incase something like this ever happened. When you looked through your contacts you started to wonder what the heck is wrong with your phone. There was no name for your friend in your phone, in fact, there were a lot of people missing from your contact list.
Sighing in frustration you thought to take your phone in to get checked another time or have Cisco look at it since you were already late. When you finally arrived at work you started to prepare what you were going to say to your boss if you ran into her.
Walking to the front desk you brought out your ID card to scan the scanner to let you in. After a few tries, the front desk lady took notice of your presence.
“Is there something wrong Mam’am?” She asked politely.
You turned to her and looked at her confused. Since when did she call you Mam’am? You’ve been here for 2 years now.
“Uhh, yeah. My card isn’t working.” You showed her your ID that was still not letting you in.
She looked at you for a second then back to the card, then back at you confused. “I’m sorry Mam’am, but when did you start working here? I have a file of all employees here and I’ve never seen you before. Are you new?” She asked.
You looked at her wide-eyed. She couldn't possibly be serious. ”Becca, I’ve worked with you for two years, is this some joke? Is the staff pranking me?” You laughed lightly, but soon stopped once noticing her confused expression.
“I’m sorry, but how do you know my name?”
“Becca, common this isn’t funny.” You rolled your eyes already annoyed from being late, she wasn’t making your day any better.
“Is there a problem here?”
Suddenly you turned to see the security guard that would normally hang around the front entrance. He looked at both you and Becca who seem relieved to see him.
“I’m sorry, but you don’t work here. Only employees are allowed in this building, and this is are employee card, so I’m not sure what you’re trying to pull here Mam’am.” Becca looked back at you, handing you your card. “I’m going to have to ask you to leave.”
You couldn’t believe what was happening right now. If this was some joke you were certainly not laughing. Turning to look at the security guard, he nodded his head towards the front door. You knew full well if he has to drag you out, he will.
Turning your attention back to Becca you quietly whispered, “I don’t know what the hell you guys are doing? But it’s not funny.” Not bothering to see the look on her face you turned around and walked out, feeling both pairs of eyes on you as you did.
You wanted to throw your hands up and scream. She was being so persistent it almost made you believe she was being serious. Since you for some reason, didn't have your bosses number you started to make your way to Jitters.
When you got there you noticed your neighbor was standing in line. Smiling you walked up to her and tapped on her shoulder, greeting her as she turned around to face you.
”Hey, Lila. You won't believe what happened to me at work today.” You laugh lightly.
”I'm sorry, have we meet?” She asked. Her brows furrowed.
You stood there frozen, taking a slight step back causing her to stare at you strangely.
You've known her for a whole year! You've had dinner parties at her house, babysat her dog, went to her sister's wedding. There was no way she was doing the same thing as your coworkers. She looked so genuine, but you didn't want to believe it.
”I'm your neighbor,” you respond hesitate.
She suddenly smiled which made you a bit relieved until she said. ”Oh! Did you just move in?”
You stood there speechless not finding it in you to respond. Instead, you started to walk backward until you reached the door and dashed out.
You walked around for a few blocks not knowing what to think. You couldn't tell if this was some dream or... You stopped suddenly glancing at yourself in the reflection of a store window. Your body was slightly faded, going in and out of disappearing. You couldn't believe what you were seeing your heart pounding fast you thought you were going to explode any second. Then as if a snap back to reality you heard some bystanders talk and the mention of the Flash popped up.
Barry! You suddenly thought. Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin might know what the hell is happening!
Once you made it to Star Labs parking lot you raced into the building, finding Cisco and Caitlin standing in the middle of the room talking.
”Y/n, hey what are you doing here?” Caitlin smiled at you.
You almost cried at the sound of her saying your name, leaning over you tried to catch your breath feeling like you just ran a marathon. Both Cisco and Cait had started to walk towards you looking concerned.
Feeling a hand on your shoulder you looked at Cisco, ”I'm so happy you know who I am.” You said breathlessly.
Both of them looked at each other then back down at you.
”Y/n, what are you talking about? We've known you for six months now.” Cait said. Smiling humorously at me.
”Hey, guys.” Barry walked in smiling. Taking a look at you he was surprised but then smiled at you too. ”Y/n? Why aren't you at work?” he stood there staring at you.
You stared at Barry feeling your eyes start to tear up. You didn't even wanna think about if Barry had forgotten you. Running toward him you threw yourself into his arms. Taking him by surprise he almost tripped backward but regained his balance and wrapped his arms around you.
”Oh, thank goodness you didn't forget,” you mumbled to yourself.
Barry looked at Cisco and Caitlin who only shrugged in response. Kissing the side of your head he gently pulled you back from his arms, taking hold of your hands he held them as he looked at you.
”Babe, what are you talking about? Forget what?” he asked smiling sweetly.
She closed her eyes and sighed. ”Me, ” she whispered. ”Forget me.”
He furrowed his brows. ”Why would I forget you?”
She opened her mouth to respond but stopped when she looked down at her hands in his, or what you could see of her hands.
Following her gaze, he jumped back upon seeing her hands slowly fade in and out. Watching her she continued to stare at her hands then finally up at him with tears in her eyes looking terrified.
”Barry, ” she whispered, her voice cracking. ”What is happening to me.?”

Out Of Control (Barry x Reader)
A/N: So basically I’ve decided that I should probably make a summary for my story’s since it lets people decide if they want to read it or not.
Summary: Barry saved people both as himself and his counterpart, the Flash, but sometimes situations are out of his control.
“He won’t make it,” Cisco mumbled.
“He’ll make it.” Y/n said back.
Both Cisco and Y/n sat impatiently at their shared desk. Staring at the monitors that currently showed Barry, who was in the middle of Central City running his way back to Star Labs. Barry had just left Star City from helping Felicity with some things that needed his science experience. What Barry didn’t know was that Cisco and Y/n had made a bet of how fast Barry could get back, and so far he only needed to make it back in the next two minutes in order for Y/n to win.
The clock continued to count down, and Barry was still somewhere in the middle of the city. Watching out of the corner of her eye she saw a smile form it’s way into Ciscos face. She knew he was starting to get cocky, but she didn’t lose faith yet.
Thirty seconds left, and Barry wasn’t here, yet. Cisco stood up and stretched his arms letting out an over exaggerated yawn. “Well Y/n, I guess your boy didn’t make it.” Smiling down at her he continued, “cash or shall we send it right to my account?”
Before Y/n could respond a sudden gust of wind came through knocking over some papers and appeared Barry in his bright suit. Cisco and Y/n looked to Barry who gave them a confused expression at the sudden staring.
“What?” Barry asked?
All of a sudden an alarm from the monitors went off, indicating that time was up and Y/n had won the bet.
“Yes!” Y/n shouted throwing her fists up in the air in victory.
Cisco rolled his eyes obviously annoyed, “are you kidding me.” He grumbled looking at Barry irritated.
“Woah, what did I do?” Barry took off his hood, looking back and forth between the two.
“You Barry,” standing up from her seat she walked over to him, “just got me fifty bucks.” Leaning up she kissed his cheek, receiving a flustered response.
“I did what?” Barry asked, cringing at the way his voice slightly cracked.
“We had a bet, I said you couldn’t make it back to Central City in time to make dinner and Y/n said you could. I lost.” Cisco grumbled.
Barry looked back to Y/n who smiled in victory, “You made a bet on me?”
Looking back to Barry, Y/n gave an apologetic look than her eyes got wide as she got an idea. “I know! How about I use my winning money to take you out to eat? Big belly burger?”
“Uh, well you don’t have to-“ Barry started.
“That’s a great idea! We never hang out so this is perfect for making up for betting against you.” Y/n looked to Cisco holding out her hand.
Grumbling to himself Cisco pulled out his wallet and handed Y/n her winnings. Smiling proudly she stuck it in her pocket and turned back to Barry.
“So, what do you say Barry, celebrate with me?” Y/n asked, leaning her head on his shoulder she even did so much as to bring out the pouty face.
Barry stared at her in awe, completely melting at her adorable expression. Feeling a slap on his shoulder Barry tured to see Cisco standing next to him.
“He would love you join you, meet him around seven?” Cisco smiled, tightening his grip on Barry’s shoulder.
“Is that ok Barry?” Y/n asked, looking strangely at Cisco. Than to Barry who still hadn’t respond.
Barry quickly looked back to her, finally being able to force out a sentence. “Yeah, great. That sounds great.”
“Ok, can’t wait!” Y/n smiled, making one more victory smile to Cisco then quickly making her way out.
Barry stood there processing what just happened, finally looking over at Cisco who was now over at his desk as if nothing had happened.
“Dude!” Barry protest.
Cisco looked up at his friend, “what?”
“Why... what was that!”
“That was me getting you a date with Y/n, you’re welcome,” Cisco said like it was obvious. “I mean, it’s not like you were getting anywhere.”
Barry stared at him a bit annoyed, but the more he thought about it, the more he started to realize it was true. Barry was never that great with talking to you, he always got nervous whenever you were around. You always found more ways to amaze him, whether it was from your skills or your kind and selfless character. Then there was your laugh, something Barry had instantly fallen in love with the moment he heard it.
Yet here he was, standing in the middle of the lab not being able to form a single sentence. “Gosh, I’m such an idiot.” He mumbled to himself.
Cisco raised his head, smiling at his best friend who continued to grumble to himself. “Barry, it’s already six dude, maybe you should take off that suit and take a shower.” Looking back down at his computer he continued. “You just ran from Star City to Central, you’ve got to reek dude.”
Barry quickly looked at the time, taking one sniff at himself. “Crap you’re right.” Running himself home he quickly started to get ready for tonight.
Checking himself one more time before taking off he ran his way to Big Belly Burger. He stood out there for a few minutes, which then turned to a few more minutes. Checking the time it was already 7:30. Barry was usually the one late, and he knew you wouldn’t have stood him up, would you? Deciding to call you he wait as the phone continued to dial, when all he received was a voicemail he left a quick message.
Once it was eight, Barry called Cisco to see if he was still at Star Labs.
“Sup dude, how’s the lovebirds?”
Barry rolled his eyes ignoring his comment. “One bird didn’t show.”
“Wait, really?”
“Yeah, I tried calling her but I got put to voicemail.”
“Hold on, let me try something.”
“Cisco please tell me you aren’t going to track her phone, dude that’s an invasion of-“
“She’s at Central City hospital!” Cisco cut in, already texting Barry the location.
“What? Why is she there!” Barry suddenly felt his heart drop.
“Uh, says here she was brought in at, 6:57 pm and... Woah.” Cisco didn’t finish making Barry even more paranoid.
“Woah? Woah what! Cisco!”
“Dude it was a car accident. The police report just came in, the pictures don’t look good.”
Barry hung up not saying anything else before taking off to the hospital. As he ran through the city the worse thoughts flooded his mind. He can’t lose you, he’s already lost so much. What if you don’t remember him? What if you are in a coma? What if you're paralyzed? What if you didn’t make it? What if he didn’t make it?
Becoming overwhelmed by his own brain he almost missed the front entrance. Jogging to the front desk he asked a nurse where you would be. He lied telling them you were his wife. Once she searched up your room number Barry didn’t waste any time getting to you.
Opening the door he saw you laid on the bed, an oxygen mask on your face, a small monitor showing him your heart beat. He slowly walked over taking a better look at you. Grabbing a chair he sat down beside your bed, moving some hair out of your face he noticed the few stitching on the side of your head. He carefully took ahold of your hand, bringing it close to his face he gently kissed your scrapped up knuckles.
He sent a quick text to Cisco who had been blowing his phone up since he hung up on him. Letting him know you were “ok” and he was going to stay here until you woke up.
Barry sat by your side for a couple hours not wanting to leave In case you woke up at any point. Feeling himself become a bit more tired as time went on he laid his head down on the side of the bed next to your hip, still holding your hand he watched you until his eyes slowly shut.
A tightening pain in your head caused you to groan awake, feeling like your whole body was numb while your head was slightly pounding.
Slowly opening your eyes you grumbled at the bright light that was faced in your direction. Turning to shut it off you noticed your right hand was trapped by an unknown weight. Glancing down you smiled slightly as you saw a sleeping Barry Allen, who had his head resting by your hip with your hand in his.
It had finally dawned on you that you were not in your bedroom, but in a white hospital room, the only sound coming from the heart monitor that stood by your bedside.
You tried to think as to why you were there, not seeming to remember much after you left to your date with Barry. Well, it wasn’t technically a date, at least that’s what Barry probably thought. You two never really seemed to “click” quite as quickly as Cisco and Caitlin did with him. He always seemed eager to get out of talking with you, mostly when you two were alone. You thought at first Barry didn’t like you, but Cisco quickly tried to reassure you that wasn’t the case and he actually thought you were great, but you had yet to see that.
Feeling a bit of movement you glanced down to see Barry start to wake up. When he locked eyes with you he suddenly became more aware and awake.
“Y/n! You’re awake.” He tightened the hold on your hand. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m ok, a bit fatigued.” You smiled at Barrys worried expression. “Cute.”
“What?”
“Nothing.” You quickly said, feeling your face warm at your sudden slip-up. “What happened?”
Barry looked concerned tightening his hold on your hand. “You don’t remember?”
“I mean, kinda. I just remember making my way to see you, then nothing really.”
Barry sighed bringing your hand up to his face as he lightly kissed your knuckles. “It was a car accident, some idiot ran a red light. You and a few other people were injured.”
Nodding you start to remember slightly as he tells you what happened. He continued to go on about the accident and how worried he was. You stopped listening to what he was saying and just watched his expressions change. It was really sweet seeing him worry about you. Suddenly you thought about tonight and how you were supposed to go on a date with Barry, feeling a bit disappointed when you start to realize that was kinda ruined.
Barry noticed the way your face suddenly dropped and how you seemed to be not really listening to him. “Hey, are you ok?” He gently squeezed your hand.
Looking back at him you smiled sadly. “Yeah, just, sorry I ruined our date.” You felt Barry tense a bit looking at you wide-eyed. Realizing you called it a date in front of him you felt your face heat up and quickly looked away from him in embarrassment. “I mean, uh... get together. Yeah! Our get together!”
You felt like drowning in a hole at this very moment. Sighing to yourself you tuned back to Barry. “Look, Barry, I know you probably thought I invited you out just as friends but honestly I was kinda hoping you would get the idea of it being more then-“ you didn’t get to finish as Barry swiftly placed his hands on your check and his lips on yours.
He gently stroked your checks as he felt you kiss him back which filled him with joy. Feeling your hand reach up behind his neck he felt a shiver run down his spine as you started playing with his little hairs on the back of his neck. He pulled back and rested his forehead against hers, hearing her out of breath and the monitor next to them start to beep a bit quicker due to her increasing heart rate.
He looked down to her frowning at the reminder of her oxygen cord that was still attached to her face along with her few stitches. “I should have been there.” He whispered.
You furrowed your brows at what he said. “Barry, this wasn’t your fault.”
He closed his eyes and sighed, “I should have picked you up.” leaning back in his chair while taking a hold of your hand he gently started rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb.
Leaning forward you took your other hand and brought his face up to look at you. “Barry, how could you have known? You can run fast, not tell the future.” You smiled at him but that still didn’t take away his frown.
“I can go fast, which is why I should have taken you myself, instead of making you drive,” Barry mumbled. Taking a hold of your wrist to bring it away from his face.
“Barry, please.” You begged. “You can’t stop every incident that happens, that’s not your job.” Giving his hand a squeeze you continued. “This wasn’t caused by a metahuman, this wasn’t because you weren’t fast enough, or you not picking me up tonight. This is just something that was out of your control, something that nobody could have helped except for the person that caused it.”
He looked up to you as you smiled down at him, he couldn’t help but smile back. “I’m glad you’re ok Y/n.”
“Me too.”
Leaning forward he gave a quick peck to your head, “get some rest.” Sitting back in his chair he intertwined his fingers with yours. “I’ll be here when you wake up.”
You smiled at that laying down you looked to your and Barry’s hands then back to him. “Thank you Barry.”
You didn’t realize how tired you really were until you closed your eyes and felt exhausted.
Barry smiled upon seeing your peaceful form. Even wearing an oxygen cord on your face you were still beautiful. Once he thought you were asleep he leaned back in his chair. “Goodnight Y/n. I love you.” He whispered quietly. Closing his own eyes he let himself rest for a bit.
You smiled upon hearing his little confession, knowing he’ll probably want to tell you when you were awake later. Letting a quiet whisper in your mind you simply thought, “I love you too.”
