It’s almost remarkable what mortals think they can get away with. Hunters in particular. Perhaps it’s because of the most violent and bloodthirsty religion in history spinning tales of ‘the devil will always lose!!’ in false hope and disgusting rhetoric.

Or... it could have been the fact he was effectively “caged”; chained by enchantments that eventually will fade under the sheer strength of his Grace. Burning and eternal.

She felt as if her mind were playing tricks on her, like she was back  in Hell again, treated like a toy as Crowley’s cronies took turns on her. All of her instincts told her to run, but her brain was still comprehending who she was seeing and what was going on. However, she was able to stammer out a few of her choice words of defense.

Eloquent. In as much a way as a crass, crippled elephant hobbling through the Sahara was such a thing. Amused blue gains a flinty edge, before the archangel hums contemplatively. Sardonically.

         Castiel shifts in his cage, and Lucifer locks it tighter.

pointless headcanon:

While Stark personally loathes getting dressed up and ’is incapable of not looking like a broke-ass biker*,’ he has a definite weakness for classic formal attire on others. Nothing too ostentatious. A girl in a slinky evening gown or little black cocktail dress, a guy in a well-tailored suit or tuxedo - or sometimes vice-versa - can easily cause his brain to short circuit.

This preference is partly rooted in the multitude of Golden Age movies he was exposed to during his youth (hello, Lauren Bacall), but since it may also have basis in certain past lovers he’d like to forget about, it’s top secret info. Up until he sees a current/potential/fantasy lover in black tie, and gives himself away by going all catatonic.
