for the injury thing: i recently got a scratch on my inner ear, which is super unpleasant. your ear canal fills up with blood (because head wounds bleed a lot) + it hurts like a bitch because it's a part of the body that isn't often hurt and so has no pain tolerance

that does sound incredibly unpleasant somehow i never thought about this...
