So the similarities between Edelgard and Louis are interesting but wow actually Zorba and Hubert I’d argue are also super similar.

Fiercely loyal, magical, edgy appearance-putting their very lives on the line for their ambitions, working in the shadows for their liege-

Part of my interpretation of Cirsium Zorba

I am so, So fascinated in Cirsium Zorba as a character wow. I’m not elegant with words but. I really found that last fight with him a touching scene. Especially through the dialogue. Paraphrasing but…“you willingly let Louis twist you with his magic?”

“This is the form I desire.”

“To be bled on an altar so fair and just-it’s a noble and beautiful thing.”

“I don’t care if I’m just a stepping stone! Lord Louis can build his world on my corpse…A world of beautiful equality where only the chosen may live!”

Just. Wow. Really captures how tragic a character he is. Clinging to someone so desperately, completely devoted, giving up even his own life, giving and giving and giving because Louis is the only one who showed him a shred of decency.

I have to mention the: “Why does the world keep rejecting me?!”

Chilling. I’m so glad they went with a more sympathetic route for him instead of leaving him as just an obsessive devotee. He’s not obsessed with Louis just because he’s Louis, but because he offers what Cirsium really wants: a world where he belongs, a world where he’s treated like a real person. When pushed, he admits that if he has to die, it doesn’t matter as long as that world gets made. They give us little pieces of his backstory, the other characters talk about him and how they perceived him…he gets to be a real character, I’m so glad.

Hey, I am Clancy. I wanted to make an intro post and it felt right to post it on literally the first day of a new year haha.

This is Technically my Metaphor: ReFantazio writing side blog, though there will probably be a lot of Zorba and Louis, haha.

I call them “Puppet King Louisa” as a ship name for now since I haven’t really heard any other names for them so far? Anyways I like how it sounds and I think it fits so that’s what I’m going with for now.

This ship means a lot to me, and yeah I also think it is tragic and doomed and unhealthy, so fair warnings on themes that will frequent this blog, if they make you uncomfortable just block me, stuff will also be tagged and warnings will be clear, with writing under “read more”: heavy religious themes, One sided love and affection, violence, obsession, and emotional manipulation, suggestive and implied sexual content (though nothing explicitly NSFW, still MDNI)
