I cannot stress enough to you that all American government agencies are falling apart at the seams right now and they will not be put back together for the foreseeable future. EPA DHS ED VA FDA NIH IRS CDC HHS NPS etc... Elon Musk is dismantling everything. Anyone who resigns or is laid off now, the word we (I am an agency employee) are receiving internally is that their position will be abolished, not backfilled.

He has bypassed the internal structure of all of the agencies by plugging in external email servers to push typo-filled emails and memos written by employees of the heritage foundation directly into the inbox of every federal agency employee in the country, threatening to terminate them.

The rule of law is dead. The only mechanism left to stop any of this is mass public outcry via convincing your state's congressmen & women to do something, because right now they are staying absolutely silent and none of us in these agencies can figure out why. I think that’s part of it, but the main issue I take with Elden Ring’s armor is the design approach: rather than being designed as a monolith like Dark Souls’ (and ESPECIALLY DS2’s) armor is, Elden Ring seems to have taken the approach of designing and concepting out each individual armor set. While this obviously results in incredibly detailed and unique armor that conveys precisely what the lore and related character(s) are like and such, it also makes the armor feel singular rather than plural.

In DS2, you’ll often notice that armor pieces from entirely disparate sets will share an identical color palette. This is because, I believe, DS2 was designed for its own limits; it didn’t have the best hardware to work with so it pared back the colors and kept them consistent to not let anything stick out. As a result, it feels like there’s a sort of narrative consistency to the armor; Agdayne’s robes being the same color as the Darkwraith’s armor being the same color as the Grave Warden armor all makes sense. As a player, it allows more options for good-looking fashion, too.

Contrast this to Elden Ring; what armor have you thrown together in ER that you can genuinely say felt unique to you? My first time through DS3 I rocked the fallen knight chestpiece, Morne helm, pyromancer gloves and knight leggings. In ER? I wore whatever full set I could get my hands on. Nothing seems to mix, because it’s all intricately detailed to fit with ITSELF rather than with the rest of the roster of armor.

dark souls armors are so superior to elden ring armors. idk why every piece of clothing in elden ring looks so bland and the colors are so... washed. the amount of details are insane, but i feel like with dark souls the pieces have more identity.
