Musical adaptations of films ruin me for ever watching the film with as much enjoyment again. Even if I loved the film (see: Priscilla...), I keep waiting for them to break out in song, and am left disappointed.

1, 10, 12 :)
I’m going to assume the Wicked one, because it’s you…
1. What’s your favorite part of the book or musical?
Oooooh, um, plot-wise maybe the latter part of the Ozdust Ballroom scene with all three dancing together (plus I LOVE the ensemble’s costumes), or Elphie and Glinda running off to the Emerald City, just being so happy! Also as long as you’re mine, but then I feel bad for Glinda.
10. What’s your favorite song in the musical?
Well, according to itunes it’s Defying Gravity oh wait, As Long As you’re Mine, which was, for a very long time, but I think it’s actually No Good Deed. It depends on my mood though. The latest round of trips to Wicked made me love most of the songs that I usually didn’t bother about (except the Wizard’s songs. Never those).
12. What are your headcannons\theories?
I find Wicked a tricky one, because (a) I adore the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda and believe it could so easily be more  - especially in the current UK touring cast where Glinda just makes Elphie light up - and (b) I actually think Elphaba/Fiyero make a cute (and more stable) couple. I have also read the book, so have conflicting stories in my head!
I could see a future, a few years post-musical, where the three of them make a relationship work. Glinda would have mellowed by then, and also become even more disillusioned with the life she once dreamed of, a few years of being consistently loved will have done wonders for Elphie’s self-esteem, and Fiyero will be the totally not shallow ‘man’ he had already become by the end of the musical.

Wicked Themed Asks!
So I’ve noticed there’s quite a lot of musical theatre themed asks, Broadway themed asks, and even popular shows like Hamilton and DEH themed asks.
But I’ve never seen an ask thing completely dedicated to Wicked, so I was bored and I made one. Feel free to add on!
1. What’s your favorite part of the book or musical?
2. Have you read the book?
3. Favorite Elphaba?
4. Favorite Glinda?
5. Favorite Fiyero?
6. Favorite Nessarose?
7. Favorite Boq?
8. Fiyeraba or Gelphie?
9. How many times have you seen the musical?
10. What’s your favorite song in the musical?
11. In your opinion, what’s your most underrated song in the musical?
12. What are your headcannons\theories?
13. Act one or act two?
14. When did you first see the musical?
15. If you could never read the book again or never see the musical again, which would you choose?
16. If you could change one thing about the musical, what would it be?
17. If you could change one part of the book, what would it be?
18. Who’s your favorite character?
19. Do you have a character you wish existed in the franchise?

Yep, it’s official. I ship the current UK tour Glinda and Elphaba with a fiery passion.
Don’t get me wrong; I’ve always seen the potential (I do have eyes!), but these two just have that little extra. Both so expressive. And Elphie’s smile... *swoons*

Down the rabbit hole.
Sometimes, I manage a decent stretch of living in the real world. And then, suddenly, I fall down a rabbit hole into a fictional world (be that book-, tv- or film-based) and I struggle to stay connected to reality. I can recognise when that happens, but I can't do anything about it. Needless to say, this is one of those times.

I want fic, but I ship pairings with so little fic, and what there is isn’t all good.
Won’t somebody please think of the children me?!

fissijo said: You missed “kicking the back of your seat” off the list ;-) That’s my major dislike.
I had empty seats behind me, so that wasn't a problem on this occasion!
While I acknowledge that if I had my own private theatre it would be somewhat lacking in atmosphere, at least there wouldn't be people talking, rustling sweet wrappers, climbing over seats, walking around or playing on their phones during a show.
