Mark of the Fool. By J.M. Clarke (U Juggernaut)

Mark of the Fool is an almost complete web novel that takes place in a high fantasy world that seems to be inspired from both classic fantasy and modern versions like D&D. It is a progression fantasy that avoids the power fantasy problems. The magic system and world are top notch, and a wide cast of fully developed characters.

Alex Roth is marked to be one of the heroes who fight the Ravener every few generations to protect his homeland. But doing so would prevent his goal of becoming a mage due to his Mark of the Fool. His mark makes it to where he has extreme difficulty doing any magic or combat.
