Zoro slammed his hand on the steering wheel and reached for the well-crumpled map sitting balled up in the empty passenger seat.

There should have been a left turn 10 miles back but the road just continued straight. It was well past midnight at this point and the road seemed to just get bumpier and bumpier as he drove away from any sign of humanity.

Eyes roaming over the map before flicking to the road to make sure he wasn’t about to veer into the surrounding woods, Zoro tried to find the road he was supposed to be on without any signs to tell him the name. A quick flash of something darting across the road made him slam on the breaks, but not fast enough to stop a collision.

His car jolted forward and back, smacking his face on the dash. A deer? god he hoped thats all it was and not some poor hitchhiker who had gotten just as lost as he was. Rubbing his forehead, he looked up to see a crumpled figure on the road in front of him, large splotches of red on it’s side from where the car must have made impact. It moved, craning its head up to look at its attacker as two large eyes opened and shone into Zoro’s.

“What the fuck.”
