Chalk lines in October rain Never stay in such a way—
Cascading pigment On a concrete base, With pastel forms Living in the space.
Rain later laughed The scene Away—at least the lines Partly colored Monday.

My Ghostly Friends
I greet each ghost as I walk to class.
They press in around me.
I used to fear them,
so they tormented me.
I see now that they are my friends.
They advise and protect me,
and I bring them flowers.
It is a nice arrangement.

Roots wrapped in embrace
Cool and earthy is her love
Rain kisses from above.

Hate Made Me Walk Away
Pollution and you,
Go hand in hand,
Shaking like the devil striking a deal.
When your mouth opens,
Life around you withers away.
Of Course I think Im better than you,
Im not you.
A part of me misses the burn of your radioactive love,
But I got sick of melting away.

Birdly Breathing
Sing to me,
Your sweet, sad, melody.
Find a branch in my heart,
Perch, and let out your art.
Jeers and boos,
You hear them all, but I never do.
Every time you grace this stage,
It takes me up in a sort of frenzied way.
Let everyone else fade,
It is just you and I today,
And might I say-,
A God has visited my way.
You take it gracefully,
Stealing my breath softly,
Between that and your chirps,
Im birdly breathing.

When a Whale Sinks Slowly
I think im losing steam
Slowly
I might be losing sleep
Lately
And in my head it seems like everyone
Hates me
Breaking down in the background
I fade, silently
Waiting patiently for loyal bones to break
Beneath me
Keep swimming
But its more like sinking
Like watery fish bones
Finding deep resting places
Find me where the mountain begins
And the ocean ends
Find me where dead souls tend
To lively whale remains.

On Solitary Hill
I sit here trapping cobwebs
In the echos of this abandoned home.
Shadows cling to walls like inky dust,
Corners are wrought with emptiness.
Not enough sweeping could make this house
The home it once was,
And no amount of wood on the hearth,
Could beckon back the warmth that used to fill these now-empty halls.

Solitude
by Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone; For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth, But has trouble enough of its own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh, it is lost on the air; The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care. Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they’ll turn and go; They want full measure of all your pleasure, But they do not need your woe. Be glad, and your friends are many; Be sad, and you lose them all, — There are none to decline your nectared wine, But alone you must drink life’s gall. Feast, and your halls are crowded, Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. For there is room in the halls of pleasure For a large and lordly train, But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain.

Hey guys
Been a while since I posted poetry but I have been writing. I had to set a lot of spare time aside to make some birthday gifts for this month, and I still have more to do next month lol but anyways,
I might just quickly post poems when I have some free time and since I’m pulling off of other social medias, I’ll likely just browse tumblr in my spare time so I am able to keep interacting with my mutuals and others posts!
Thanks for sticking around for the message, I hope things have been good for everyone lately and I hope things start to look up soon if not!
-Solomon
