A curious child (🌱) asked:
"The small child curiously looked at the tall miss.
'Miss you look like someone l know... Or maybe it's a coincidence...' "
" Oh, hello there! "
Turning to the younger child, Verina smiles warmly.
" Is there anything I can help you with? "

"Understood, Mr. Calcharo."
Verina sets to work gathering the supplies, packaging them, labeling the packages, and loading them into a carrying case...
@phantom-hunter-calcharo, someone asked me about exchanging Strongylodon macrobotrys, common name Jade Vine, with you for your services. If they do, I ask that you do not accept the offer. The Jade Vine plant is an endangered species with very specific care requirements, and I don't think it would be a good idea to encourage the removal of endangered species from their natural habitat...

Boop!
"Huh?"
At the unexpected boop Verina laughs a bit, the flowers next to her face seeming even healthier somehow.
"Haha, what's that for?"

"Okay. How does a 30% discount on the lemongrass oil as thanks for not accepting the offer sound to you? Can't offer a discount on the Belle Poppies since they only grow in one area and got pushed back by the Incinero Petals that took over... And 15% off on the Coral Oats as well?"
Verina begins to pack up lemongrass oil while speaking, ear flowers reflecting the Resonator's positive mood in their healthy blooming state.

"Thank you, Mr. Calcharo. Do the Ghost Hounds need anything at the moment that I could send over? I've always got lemongrass oil that can be used as insect repellent and a disinfectant if you ever need it."

🦢 anon asked:
Do you think Calcharo will appreciate it if I offer him Jade Vine? It is supposed to be incredibly hard to cultivate and is endangered. But people pay a lot to eat the flowers...
"...Seriously?"
Verina crosses her arms and shakes her head, an expression of annoyance at the query which seems rather inane to the young Resonator.
"Don't mess with endangered plant species. Besides, like I said, a common medicinal plant would have more value than an obscure plant that he would have to fight to protect."

Well, Calcharo's services are expensive and I don't want to get a job. If I could make a deal with a rare plant with him, it is a win win situation for me Hah!
"I doubt Mr. Calcharo would accept a rare plant as payment. He'd have to go through the trouble of selling the plant himself, protecting it from rival groups, researching market value and care requirements... Would it not be easier to obtain a large amount of common medicinal plants that have a known benefit and are less likely to be fought for?"

How do I know which ones are Ivy rashes and which ones are Sumac rashes? *He began to itch his skin*
Oh also, if I were to make a Hoochief touch these plants, would they also get rashes?
"Poison ivy rashes are more circular, while poison sumac rashes are more like lines. They look the same aside from the shape difference. Bright red and itchy. Don't scratch the area though, you might wound yourself or transfer the chemical to other parts of your skin. Wear bandages around your arms if you have to. Remember, it's an irritant that is meant to feel itchy. Also, the reaction tends to get worse with repeated exposure."
Verina explains, demonstrating on her arm.
"Fortunately, just wearing protective clothing is all you need to prevent future exposure. Use the calamine lotion as indicated on the package, use Aloe vera lotion for relief if it still itches, and avoid scratching your arms."
She ignores the query about Hoochiefs completely, instead bringing over a small bottle of green slime-like material that she places next to the calamine lotion.
"Here's the Aloe vera lotion."

*He blinks at the child as if she was speaking a completely different language when she asked those questions*
.....
Green? Pointy leafs... that's all I know.
*He smacks himself in the head.*
Oh wait. I bought a few plants with me!
*He shows a posion ivy, poison sumac branches with a grin*
"...Okay, you'll need calamine lotion for those. Aloe vera is good for soothing..."
As she speaks, the botanist goes over to a cabinet and retrieves a bottle of the lotion.
"While the calamine lotion will help with the poison ivy rash, you'll just have to wait out the poison sumac rash. Next time you go out into wooded areas, wear long sleeves and long pants, boots, and wear gloves before touching unknown plants. I'd also recommend purchasing a book on plants to avoid."
Verina puts on gloves and takes the plants to another room before returning.
"Be careful next time, okay?"
