I'm being genuinely serious when I say my experience and interpretation watching Ghostbusters 1984 has always been "there's this crazy silly group of scientists and everyone else is completely confused by them" what do you mean it's seen as like... mysoginy: the movie/hyp...

I thought Peter just messed with everyone because he was bored and didn't take anything seriously, and it made sense to me when his attraction to women factored into the way he joked around with them. The most mysogynistic scene I can think of would be the way he responded to Janine complaining to him about her work hours.

To me, him being the "main character" was just because it was a comedy film, and his shenanigans affected and bothered literally everyone else in the movie like he was the main clown to laugh at. I didn't know he was supposed to be seen as the cool role model guy or something... that sounds ridiculous just saying it, lmao.

Did anyone else notice that S1E3 had a different art style than the others? I sent this screenshot to a friend and received the prompt response of "please give him brown contacts I'm literally shaking", so I laughed and put it into my photo editor to do that for the joke, but then I just... kept going. So now we have Harold Ramis's Egon Spengler in The Real Ghostbusters! Oops... maybe I'll do the other characters to finish the set. All because of Egon's blue-eyed stare. 😭 Sorry, RGB Egon, I promise I love you.
