This picture of Nilsen in his office at Kentish Town was taken in 1982. The spectacles he is wearing belonged to Martyn Duffey, one of his victims.
Also, thank you to everyone who got me to 500 likes! Much love to you all, especially you regulars who stick by me hehe
Mwah!!!!

Tapes containing a recording of Lesley Ann Downey’s final moments that were found in the suitcases.
There are transcripts of the recordings available, but I must urge to read that at your own discretion as they are very upsetting. If you do want a copy of them without searching, I will happily send it to you!

Flames were seen in a derelict building at the old Broadmoor Hospital site on Chaplains Hill in Crowthorne, Berkshire, just after 09:30 BST.
A fire has broken out on the site of a former psychiatric hospital where notorious criminals were held.
A well-developed fire was discovered in the building and crews are likely to remain on scene for some time, according to Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
No injuries have been reported.

the thought of dennis nilsen getting annoyed at a self service checkout.

This photograph was taken on the 6th of May, 1966. It shows both Ian Brady and Myra Hindley being transported after the jury had retired to consider its verdict.
The jury found Ian Brady guilty on all three counts of murder, and Myra Hindley to be guilty of Downey and Evans’ murder.
With all things considered, they were probably feeling quite lucky that they had been apprehended when they had, as the death penalty for committing the act of murder has been abolished just six months prior, leaving them subject to the only punishment available, life imprisonment. Arguably, this was a considerably more severe and meaningful sentence than the quick and easy escape of death, leaving them to think upon their wicked actions until the day they died.
Mr Justice Atkinson, in his closing statement, described that Brady and Hindley were;
‘Two sadistic killers of upmost depravity’, and that Ian Brady was ‘wicked beyond belief’.
(Apologies in advance for the watermark, but I don’t see this image very often so if I see a better quality one then I’ll replace my post.)

“I am always surprised and truly amazed that anyone can be attracted by the macabre. The population at large is neither ‘ordinary’ or ‘normal’. They seem to be bound together by a collective ignorance of themselves and what they are. They have, every one of them, got their deep dark thoughts with many a skeleton rattling in their secret cupboards. Their fascination with ‘types’ (rare types) like myself plagues them with the mystery of why and how a living person can actually do things which may be only those dark images and acts secretly within them. I believe they can identify with these ‘dark images and acts’ and loathe anything which reminds them of this dark side of themselves. The usual reaction is a flood of popular self-righteous condemnation but a willingness to, with friends and acquaintances, talk over and over again the appropriate bits of the case.”
-Scottish serial killer Dennis Andrew Nilsen
