It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that when this young kid visited Universal Studios for the first time, this ride changed my life. Probably why I’ve spent years and countless hours noodling this, because it had to be as f%$king bad ass as the memory I have of first hoping into a Delorean on my way to the future. I think I’m ready to finally call this one done.

Here is a loose concept illustration I did recently for a client, looking to create a photo op where guests could sit on a voodoo-themed throne. I tried some different techniques with this one with how I added tonal values and color.

I was looking at an image of a Darth Vader helmet and saw an outline of a cloaked figure in the mouthpiece. A week later I created this painting.
