I think. I have made a realisation.

You know the mirror at the end of every run. Where the voices would get collected into it? That’s probably how they were able to collect those memories and experiences they’ve gone through

And now we know that voices can get lost. Smitten Stubborn Broken and Paranoid wouldn’t be meeting us at the ending where we become a god ourselves if we didn’t get them anywhere else that isn’t HEA, Fury, or Unravelled!Apotheosis. Which means they don’t remember what they’ve gone through in those routes.

Cause. Ok. Smitten is all about Blind Devotion. So in HEA he probably made the realisation that his blindness had caused harm to both the Princess and us. He is no longer confined by his Blind Devotion. He fades away into the darkness.

Stubborn is about Rivalry. Through Fury, he gave up for the first time in his entire existence. Stubborn is all about being stubborn. And yet he gave in and became something more than his title. He is unraveled.

Broken is about Submission. In Unravelled!Apotheosis he stood up for himself and is no longer submissive towards the one he once saw as his god. He made her understand him. He became something more. He had freed himself.

Paranoid is about Terror. Like Broken, through seizing control over his situation, he is no longer afraid. He had grown into something more than his title. He is free from your confines.

Which explains why they’re still the way they were before when we get any of them in the other routes. Smitten is still cheery and is blindly devoted to the Princess, Stubborn is still itching for a fight, Broken is still sulking. Paranoid is still afraid. Because they don’t remember those experiences. They weren’t able to meet back at the mirror.

I’d like to call them “Lost Voices”.
