#mildly bogan Australian but sometimes weirdly posh because theatre training#ungodly mix of outer suburbs of Victoria but going to public school alongside farm kids#while also having a mother who is the daughter of a radio presenter and split her time between Queensland and Vic#and a dad who’s always lived in the slightly bogan parts of Victoria#but somehow doesnt sound like a full bogan#my accent is 🤷♀️#but I’ve been told it can be quite strong sometimes (though nothing compared to far north Queenslanders)#text#I make it stronger for comedic effect because it makes my swearing funnier

like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.

Nooo i just saw a TikTok of someone calling their mom a hoarder cause she has a CD collection and going "i can play these faster on an app" and telling her to throw them away BITE BITE BITE BITE KILL KILL KILL KILL if someone said that to me i would rip them apart with my teeth i would burn them alive the violence that would take place would be unimaginable i would be an unleashed demon hungry for blood and meat. unimaginable horrors. death and destruction. killing. maiming. no one could survive that. it would be a nuclear apocalypse. leave the fucking CDs alone
#digital preservation#also note: cds and dvds are broadly considered obsolete storage media (sadly)#so backing up the files makes sure you’ll also continue to be able to use them even if your cd/dvd player stops working and you aren’t able#to find a replacement (you can generally still get them NOW but they’re much harder to come by)#also remember to back up your files to multiple locations and remember where they are#and there’s always a possibility down the line you’ll have to convert them to another file format to keep being able to play them#(not commenting on legality strictly bc I’m not a lawyer and copyright law varies between countries)#(but often there are permissions for copying for preservation reasons if you can’t replace the material in another way)#(but also who the fuck cares what you do with your fucking cds these days anyway)
