In case you needed some book suggestions as you start off the summer, here are all the lists you could ever want in YA fiction. I am heading abroad today, so I won’t be posting on here until July. In the meantime, Pablo has the run of the blog so I’m sure there will still be plenty of things going on. I may be able to pop back on every once in a while as I travel to literary sites in the UK. Have a great summer, guys!-Jordan
Book List of Book Lists
We make a lot of young adult book lists at STACKED, and I know how useful they are for collection development and reader’s advisory purposes. They’re useful enough for me when I write them or read the ones Kimberly’s written. So I thought I’d make a list of some of our book lists, for those who are interested in digging deep into the various genres and themes within YA fiction.
I’ll add to this periodically as we update our book lists so that finding them all in one place is easy, useful, and convenient. You can find a permanent page with updated lists here.
Get Genrefied Series
All of these lists focus on specific genres or subgenres within YA fiction. They each talk about the defining characteristics of the genre (or format!), followed by a big book list, and other websites and blogs to explore that delve even further into the specified genre.

Okay so I followed the Slytherin pants link because I was hoping they would have women’s pants (they don’t siiiiigh) but it did lead me to the world of Hot Topic’s ....fan collections I guess you would call them? I was so surprised! I will admit I haven’t been in a Hot Topic in years but now I might have to stop in if they have stuff from Harry Potter and the Hobbit. It’s always fun to find bookish things in places you wouldn’t expect! What is your favorite place to find bookish things that other people wouldn’t necessarily think of? -Jordan

This is beautiful. I definitely see the Emma Woodhouse/Tony Stark parallel. What book series would you like to dream cast for the Avengers? -Jordan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unless you have been living in a cave without wifi for the last six months, you are probably aware that a little film called The Avengers: Age of Ultron is coming out this Friday. It’s kind of a big deal: the gang’s all back, the reviews are mostly good, and it’s set to make an actual bajillion dollars. So what could make this movie better? The same thing that makes everything better on the internet (no, not cats): Jane freaking Austen.
If I had, say, a tesseract, and could use it to open a portal into time and tear a hole in the fabric of reality, thus allowing me to cast a bunch of characters from nineteenth century novels as a bunch characters in a twenty-first century film, this would be my dream team. Austen Avengers Assemble!
