On "Take Care", a recent work presented at the #interimshow2016 , 10 terracotta balls with seeds inside were given away to different viewers under an agreement that they would send me documentation of it for a month. @oh_hai_claudette was the first person to volunteer and has been sending pictures of her piece since. She decided to keep the ball and plant the seeds. Any guesses on what those seed are? While reseaching about plants I started wondering which one would represent the history of my family. Most of my ancestors came from Italy and settled in the mountains of Espirito Santo, in Brazil. Their life was built upon coffee, which was one of my country's main exports for decades. Which seeds made our existence possible? The Interim private view had lots of visitors. Big thank you for those who came! 7/10 of the pieces were taken home by visitors who agreed to sign the term of responsibility and to document the changes in their pieces for a month. During the Interim exhibition one of the spheres fell down and the seeds and pieces spread out on the floor. The first 3 balls were made of clay and had radish seeds sown into it. After they dried I brought them home and I've been watching how they react to three different environments. The first had water poured into it. The second had water poured in and around. The third is being placed out on the balcony (under rain, 'cos this is London 🇬🇧) I'll be keeping an eye on them, hoping they transform throughout the next few days. The seeds sprouted a little sooner then I had expected, but I'll carry on with the experiment.
