it is very interesting how episode 3x06 starts with a montage of d'arthagnan and athos having sex with their heterosexual romantic partners and also aramis and porthos doing some bondage shit with pistols while feron monologues about life and death and pleasure. very interesting.

and so this fact leads me to think of a kind of horrible AU, where all the events of the game SHTA are one big drug trip of sherlock, whose mind came up with horrors using images of artefacts from the room with his mother's archaeological finds, and all he thought he saw were just repetitions of old images and memories stored in his head since he was a child. cthulhu could be the personification of deep loneliness and an unconscious desire to sacrifice his life (as he believes he deserves punishment for his mother's death)

yes, i know that this would require rewriting the entire storyline with john, but the wound that jon's disappearance has inflicted on sherlock, combined with his deteriorating relationship with his brother, sounds like a perfectly logical reason for sherlock to see the world in dark colours

its a little funny that violets curio room is full of reused models from sinking city used as hoaxes/fakes (just a few as an example)

and then they get used again in the awakened where its. Ummmm. well. kind of adds to the "was this real or not" thing in shta in a fun way

i think charles tends to be a bit possessive of arthur at times. not in a weird "i am jealous and will be mad at you if you ever look at another person"-way but in a "see this handsome man? he belongs with me"-way

imagine them in a bar where charles goes to get them drinks and when he comes back someone is flirting with arthur (who of course declines politely because that man has some manners) and charles, after watching them for a few seconds, decides to make a little Entrance™️, slipping his arm around arthur's waist, kissing his cheek and being like "oh hey, who's this?"

internally charles is like "yes. that is my man. look at how handsome and kind he is! but don't look too close."

arthur doesn't admit it but he loves that kind of attention from charles
