Family photos: why you should consider not wearing the same color but coordinating.

Time and time again we see family portrait sessions of a family all in denim with plaid shirts. While this may be the aesthetic you’re going for it can actually look over whelming most of the time. As a photographer I recommend to my clients that you pick a color palette and stick to that for example shades of blues or anything from teal to blue. If you are all wearing the same colores your pictures will turn out mono tone and will require more editing to make you stand out.

Coordinating gives everyone to showcase their personality and style as well as colores that work for their skin tones. Let’s be honest here, not all colors look the same on everyone. What might work for you and your skin tones and undertones may not work for others. Some people look better in warm tones some in cool tones and this is the best way to showcase that and have everyone wear colors that work for them and make them glow.
