Headcanon: Before meeting James, Regulus had never learned to swim. Whenever he mentioned this, people would poke fun at him, so he stopped sharing this fact with others and avoided water altogether to prevent anybody from finding out. One day, at Barty's insistence, Regulus found himself at the Black Lake with his friends, where James was also present. Regulus refused to even dip a toe in the water, preferring to sit on the docks while his friends swam. Noticing this, James, ever the tease, couldn't resist making a comment about Regulus being "afraid of the merpeople biting his toes." The jab clearly unsettled Regulus, and James began to notice his discomfort. His expression softened as he realized how deeply this affected Regulus and he waded over to him, propping his elbows up on the wooden planks of the dock where Regulus sat. “what? can’t swim?” James jested half-heartedly, although when he was met with silence he found he had just gotten the answer to his question, even when it was only meant to be rhetorical. “you can’t swim, can you?” he now asked with genuine curiosity, to which Regulus responded wordlessly with a hesitant shake of the head. A smirk formed on James’s face, but it wasn’t mocking; instead, it was a blend of understanding and empathy. “well, then I suppose it’s my job to teach you. How about we start with just getting your feet wet?”
and that’s how Regulus started getting swimming lessons from James.

As Barty got closer to death whilst having his soul sucked out, his mind kept blurring between reality and a kaleidoscope of memories, each one involving Evan. It felt as though all the happiness, all the color that once fueled those memories began to fade, and Barty was left with nothing, not even his lover.
It wasn’t until he took his last breath that he found himself no longer face-to-face with the dementor that took his life, but with the soft blue eyes of Evan Rosier. Immediately Barty felt at peace, his lips meeting Evan’s as they enveloped each other in a tender and gentle kiss, washing away all helplessness and despair that the dementor had left him.
“Nothing could ever take me away from you,” Evan whispered reassuringly, caressing Barty’s cheek with his thumb. “Nothing.”

Barty is so kinky that he probably took Evan down into the dungeons and chained him up in one of the cells just to give him one hell of a rough, torturous fuck.

Barty Crouch Jr seems like the type of guy who would give Evan Rosier handjobs underneath the desk during class.

It’s 3am and James wakes up in cold sweat from a nightmare. He’s panicked and disoriented, his body on high alert as he struggles to catch his breath. From behind him, he felt a warm hand press up against his back, massaging his tense muscles soothingly, which manages to calm James down a bit. He didn’t even have to turn around to know that it was Regulus who now had wrapped his arms around James’ midsection, guiding him back down to bed.
Regulus began whispering reassurances and words of comfort to his lover, his voice thick with sleep as he tried to make James feel safe. James took a deep breath, feeling the warmth radiating from Regulus's body. The nightmare slowly faded, replaced by the comforting presence of his partner. As Regulus’s fingers danced lightly along his sides, James could feel the tension in his muscles start to ease.
“Shh, it’s okay,” Regulus murmured, his breath warm against James's ear. “You’re safe. I’m right here.”
James let himself relax into Regulus’s embrace, his heart rate gradually slowing. The familiar scent of Regulus enveloped James like a protective cocoon. He could feel Regulus’s steady heartbeat against his back, a rhythmic reminder that he was not alone.
“I’m sorry I woke you,” James said, his voice still shaky. “I didn’t mean to… I just—”
“Don’t apologize,” Regulus interrupted softly. “You never have to. Just focus on my voice. Breathe with me.”
Regulus guided him through deep breaths, in and out, until the panic subsided. The night felt less oppressive now, the shadows in the room becoming mere shapes rather than looming threats.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Regulus asked gently, still holding James close.
James hesitated, the memory of the nightmare lingering at the edges of his mind. “Not right now,” he admitted. “I just want to be here with you.”
“Then that’s what we’ll do,” Regulus replied, his tone soothing. He tightened his hold, creating a barrier between James and the remnants of fear that clung to him.
“Thank you,” James whispered, nuzzling his face into Regulus’s neck, feeling the thump of his boyfriend’s pulse against the bridge of his nose.
“Always,” Regulus replied, his voice heavy with sleep yet filled with unwavering love. And with that, James closed his eyes, surrendering to the pull of sleep knowing that he was safe in Regulus’s arms.
