Female characters don't end up with first love interest.

Relationship comes and goes and turn sour and sweet. That's real. We need that in more books.

I deeply appreciate the fact that Blue is ya book character who actually has living and loving family.

Not only she has mother who actually listens to her, but she also has aunties who actually have their own personalities and actively participate in her growth.
