Unlocking New Horizons: Paramedical Tattoo Training for PMU Artists
Are you a permanent makeup (PMU) artist eager to broaden your horizons and offer more specialized services? Are you on the lookout for a fulfilling career that involves aiding individuals in their recovery from trauma, illness, or injury? If so, delve into the world of paramedical tattoo training.
Paramedical tattooing, a distinct niche within cosmetic tattooing, focuses on restoring skin appearance and function post-damage or loss. Artists in this field assist clients with scars, burns, skin grafts, stretch marks, vitiligo, alopecia, mastectomy, and various skin-related conditions.
The impact of paramedical tattooing extends beyond aesthetics; it enhances clients' self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. Paramedical tattoo artists often become pillars of emotional support for their clients, navigating through sensitive and personal issues.
The Essentials of Paramedical Tattoo Training
Embarking on paramedical tattoo training entails mastering both the theory and practice of diverse procedures:
Scar Camouflage: Blending scar color and texture with the surrounding skin using custom-mixed pigments and a tattoo machine. This technique is applicable to surgical scars, acne scars, self-harm scars, and others.
Skin Graft Camouflage: Matching skin graft color and texture with surrounding skin through custom-mixed pigments and a tattoo machine. This is beneficial for burn victims, trauma survivors, and those who underwent skin graft surgery.
Stretch Mark Revision: Creating micro-abrasions on stretch marks with a tattoo machine and applying a custom blend of natural oils and serums to stimulate skin rejuvenation, reducing stretch mark appearance by up to 100%.
Vitiligo Camouflage: Matching the color and texture of depigmented skin patches with surrounding skin using custom-mixed pigments and a tattoo machine.
Alopecia Camouflage: Creating the illusion of hair follicles on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or other areas with custom-mixed pigments and a tattoo machine.
Areola Reconstruction: Crafting realistic-looking areolas and nipples on breast tissue using custom-mixed pigments and a tattoo machine, applicable to mastectomy, breast reconstruction, breast augmentation, and other breast surgeries.
Paramedical tattoo training encompasses understanding skin anatomy, causes and types of skin damage, healing processes, infection control, safety protocols, consultation and assessment, color theory, pigment selection, equipment and supplies, and business and marketing strategies.
Finding Paramedical Tattoo Training Opportunities
While paramedical tattoo training remains a niche field, experienced artists like Master PMU Artist Elizabeth Crespo, provide online and in person courses with certifications for PMU artists. Elizabeth, a certified artist with over 8 years of experience, offers comprehensive courses designed to equip artists with practical skills. Her courses cover various techniques, including Inkless Stretch Marks Rejuvenation (ISR), Scar Camouflage, and Stretch Mark Camouflage.
Elevate Your Career with Paramedical Tattoo Training
For PMU artists seeking to:
Expand Skills and Services: Paramedical tattoo training introduces advanced techniques like scar camouflage, stretch mark revision, and areola reconstruction, allowing you to diversify your offerings.
Increase Income and Profitability: Paramedical tattoo procedures are in high demand, commanding higher prices. Additionally, minimal equipment and supplies reduce costs.
Make a Positive Impact: Paramedical tattooing empowers you to make a positive difference in clients' lives by enhancing appearance and providing emotional support during their healing journey.
Taking the First Step in Paramedical Tattoo Training
If intrigued by paramedical tattoo training, follow these steps:

Choose Your Course: Select a reputable online course that aligns with your goals and schedule. Elizabeth Crespo's courses are a notable option.
Enroll and Learn: Engage in the coursework, practice your skills, and celebrate milestones.
Get Certified and Start Working: After completing the course, obtain certification and commence your journey, marketing your services and continuously improving.

What are Nano Eyebrows?
Tumblr media
What are Nano Eyebrows?
Nano eyebrows is the latest technique that uses the permanent makeup machine to a more advanced level by using ultra-fine needles to achieve even greater precision and detail. Here are key points to understand about nano eyebrows: Similar to microblading, the strokes resemble your natural brow hair for a very natural look. Microblading itself is a cosmetic tattooing procedure that involves the manual application of pigment into the skin's upper layers to create natural-looking eyebrows. In Nano eyebrows, Because the pigment is rapidly inserted with the needle or needles rather than bladed into the skin, this technique has better retention and a more defined look.
Nano Eyebrows Unveiled: The Art of Microblading Evolution
Nano eyebrows represent the pinnacle of microblading evolution. While microblading has long been celebrated for its ability to create natural-looking eyebrows, Nano Eyebrows take this art to an entirely new level. Picture an evolution where each stroke is a brush with perfection, creating brows that are not just enhanced but exquisitely detailed.
Here are key points to understand about nano eyebrows:
Precision Technique: Nano eyebrows involve the use of extremely fine needles, often smaller than those used in traditional microblading. The term "nano" reflects the microscopic scale of the strokes created during the procedure.
Hair-Like Strokes: The ultra-fine needles allow the artist to create hair-like strokes that closely mimic the natural growth pattern of eyebrow hair. This precision results in a more realistic and natural-looking appearance.
Enhanced Detail: Nano eyebrow techniques are known for their ability to achieve intricate details, including individual hair strands, which adds to the overall realism of the brows.
Advanced Pigment Application: The advanced technique allows for precise control over the placement and depth of the pigment, contributing to a more refined and defined outcome.
Customization: Nano eyebrows provide a high level of customization. Artists can tailor the shape, thickness, and arch of the eyebrows to suit the client's facial features and preferences.
Longevity: Like traditional microblading, nano eyebrows are a semi-permanent procedure. The longevity of the results depends on various factors, including skin type, aftercare, and individual lifestyle.
Natural Aesthetics: The primary goal of nano eyebrows is to create a natural and subtly enhanced appearance. The use of fine strokes and careful pigment application contributes to a more understated and elegant outcome.
Specialized Training: Achieving proficiency in nano eyebrows requires specialized training. Artists need to understand the nuances of using ultra-fine needles, pigment selection, and the meticulous process of creating detailed strokes.
Why you should consider training in the Nano Brow technique?
Training in nano eyebrows can be a valuable investment for individuals in the beauty and cosmetic tattooing industry. Several compelling reasons why someone might choose to undergo training in nano eyebrows. It will allow beauty professional artists to enhance their skills in achieving meticulous and realistic eyebrow results. Clients often seek natural-looking and personalized results when it comes to semi-permanent makeup. Nano eyebrows, with their attention to detail, can lead to higher levels of client satisfaction. Training in this technique ensures that artists can meet the expectations of clients seeking refined and subtle enhancements and  enables artists to master the art of pigment application, ensuring optimal color retention and a harmonious blend with the client's skin tone and existing hair color. Clients may actively seek an artist with specialized skills in nano techniques, enhancing the marketability of trained artists. Adding nano eyebrows to one's skill set can open up new career opportunities and avenues for business expansion. Artists may attract a broader client base and diversify their services, leading to increased business growth.

What is Areola Tattoo?
Areola tattooing is a cosmetic procedure designed to recreate the appearance of the areola and nipple on the breast. The tattoo will look 3-dimensional but it is flat to the touch. This procedure is often sought by individuals who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery after mastectomy, gender affirmation or those who wish to enhance the appearance of their natural areolas. The primary purpose of areola tattooing is to restore or replicate the natural look. This procedure is a less invasive alternative to nipple reconstruction surgery
How is Areola and Nipple Repigmentation performed?
The procedure allows for customization, including adjusting the size, shape, and color of the areola to meet the client's preferences and create a personalized and natural look. The pain level during areola tattooing is generally low, as a topical anesthetic is often applied to minimize discomfort. The healing process is similar to that of a traditional tattoo, with some initial redness and scabbing, followed by the gradual settling of the pigment.Achieving the desired result may require multiple sessions, allowing for adjustments and ensuring that the color settles evenly. The number of sessions varies based on individual factors and the complexity of the reconstruction.  If a patient chooses to have areola tattooing, it is the final step of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy if the nipple was removed as part of the surgery. It involves tattooing a nipple on the skin that may have details that make it look more realistic than a nipple reconstruction might. It may also be able to cover scars from breast reconstruction surgery.
What are the benefits of providing areola tattoo procedure?
Areola tattooing can have a positive emotional and psychological impact on individuals who have undergone breast reconstruction. It is often considered the final step in the reconstruction process and can contribute to improved self-esteem and body image.
Why you should consider training in areola tattoo?
Training in areola tattooing is a specialized skill that holds significance for professionals in the beauty and paramedical tattooing industry. It can elevate a professional's status within the industry. Professionals in this field often find great satisfaction in helping clients regain a sense of normalcy and confidence. Being able to contribute positively to individuals' lives through areola tattooing can be personally and professionally fulfilling. Recognition for expertise in this specialized area may lead to increased clientele, professional referrals, and participation in specialized events or collaborations. Training in this field allows professionals to meet this demand and provide a specialized service that caters to a specific clientele.

What is Paramedical Tattooing?
Tumblr media
What is Paramedical Tattooing?
Paramedical tattooing, also known as medical or micropigmentation tattooing, is a specialized form of tattooing that aims to address various cosmetic and medical concerns. Unlike traditional tattoos, which are often for decorative purposes, paramedical tattooing is focused on restoring or enhancing physical features that may have been altered due to medical conditions, surgery, or trauma.
Paramedical tattooing, post-surgery tattooing, or reconstructive tattooing are all terms used to describe tattoos created to help clients heal from experiences that may leave them with a changed physical appearance.
A relatively new approach to tattooing, it developed from permanent makeup techniques, but paramedical tattoo artists have taken this to the next level.
Creating realistic areola tattoos for people who have undergone mastectomies or gender-affirming surgeries, restoring skin pigment in scarred areas, or even camouflaging or even reconstruction of a belly button after surgery,  these paramedical tattoo artists help their clients to heal psychologically from physical procedures and can really help a person feel more whole again.
Common applications of paramedical tattooing:
Scar Camouflage:
Paramedical tattooing can be used to conceal scars resulting from surgeries,                   injuries, or medical procedures. The Paramedical tattoo artist carefully matches the pigments to the client's skin tone, helping the scar blend more seamlessly with the surrounding skin.
Areola Reconstruction:
Individuals who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery, particularly after mastectomy, may opt for paramedical tattooing to recreate the appearance of the areola and nipple. This can contribute to a more natural and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
Stretch Mark Camouflage:
Paramedical tattooing can be used to conceal stretch marks resulting from         pregnancy, sudden weight gain, puberty stage. The paramedical tattoo artist carefully      matches the pigments to the client's skin tone, helping the stretch mark blend more seamlessly with the surrounding skin making it less visible.
Vitiligo Coverage:
Paramedical tattooing is sometimes used to camouflage depigmented areas caused by conditions like vitiligo. Pigments are strategically applied to match the surrounding skin, providing a more uniform complexion.
SMP-Hair Loss Solutions:
For those experiencing hair loss due to conditions like alopecia or undergoing medical treatments like chemotherapy, paramedical tattooing can simulate the appearance of hair follicles on the scalp, eyebrows, or eyelashes.
Cleft Lip Corrections:
Paramedical tattooing can be employed to improve the appearance of the lip line in individuals who have undergone cleft lip repair surgery.
Alopecia Treatment:
People with alopecia, an autoimmune condition causing hair loss, may opt for paramedical tattooing such as Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) or any permanent makeup procedure to create the illusion of eyebrows, eyeliner, or hair on the scalp.
Skin Conditions:
In some cases, paramedical tattooing is used to address skin conditions such as hypopigmentation (lack of skin color) or hyperpigmentation (excess skin color) by adding pigments to affected areas.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS DIFFER FROM A DESIGN  TATTOOING IN THE TRADITIONAL SENSE OR EVEN A PERMANENT MAKE UP PROCEDURE?
The process definitely has some differences. There are certain emotions that can arise when being a part of a moment that may have such a big impact on that person's life. Whether it be cancer, gender confirmation, auto-immune disorders, plastic surgery, there is a level of empathy and compassion you need to have when discussing these topics with your clients. Keeping the environment comfortable when your client may be feeling very vulnerable is extremely important.
The process consists of designing  hand-drawn on the client. Because we are restoring what may have once been on the body, we want it to form to them and feel natural- which may not always be something you can stencil on.  Another big difference is the skin being worked on, some skin will be more scarred, gone through radiation, or even cadaver skin. These will all respond differently while being tattooed. Each client brings a new unique (and welcomed) challenge to be worked with.
HOW DO THESE PARAMEDICAL TATTOOS IMPACT YOUR CLIENTS' LIVES?
The emotions right at the appointment, and even after, can be overwhelming!
We definitely see a fair amount of happy tears, and I'm one to easily end up joining them. From what clients tell us, getting to have a piece of them back, even though it is purely visual, means more than words can describe. We have had clients go from telling us  that they don't like looking at themselves after a shower, evolving to checking themselves out more than ever post restorative tattooing.
Restorative work can help bring closure to clients after going through various experiences. The mind is truly so powerful, seeing a part of your body look physically 'complete' as it once was, can really help healing mentally. It is a really beautiful experience to be a part of. We are always so grateful to be welcomed into someone's healing journey in this way.
WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER BECOMING A PARAMEDICAL TATTOO ARTIST?
Becoming a paramedical tattoo artist is more than just a career choice; it's a journey of compassion, creativity, and positive impact. With every stroke of ink, you have the power to transform lives, making this profession a canvas of both artistry and purpose. Embark on this unique journey and discover the ink and impact that await you in the world of paramedical tattooing.
For the entrepreneurial spirit, independence beckons. Operating your own business opens doors to a world of opportunities. Manage your schedule, nurture your artistic vision, and watch your client base grow, turning your passion into a flourishing venture.

Why you should take our Microblading Course
Tumblr media
Ohio Micropigmentation Center was founded five years ago in 2017 by Elizabeth Crespo . She found a love for making women and men feel confident with services like Microblading, Scalp Micropigmentation, Blush Lips and more. Elizabeth soon realized that there was a need for an academy that offered all modalities of permanent makeup. So that there can be more permanent makeup artists & medical micropigmentation providers in the world to not only help people gain confidence but to make better lives for themselves.   This academy continues to be all inclusive, meaning instructors and team members have created an atmosphere that encourages our students to develop their own talents and abilities. OMC Instructors are fully committed to sharing their knowledge and watching their students succeed. We prioritize working with our students one on one, this is why we have smaller classes so students can maintain the ability throughout the course to ask questions and feel confident in their own learning.    We offer a wide range of PMU and Paramedical courses in all modalities of permanent makeup including: Microblading, Master Permanent Makeup, Nano Brows, Stretch Mark Camouflage, Scalp Micropigmentation and more. Students can be confident that they will receive top of the line supplies which includes all supplies needed to perform services not only in their makeup courses but for their first 20+ clients. Ohio Micropigmentation Center gives each PMU student post-class support, so that they can reach our instructors with any questions necessary even after graduation. This allows OMC Alumni to ensure their businesses are always on the right path. We also provide an apprenticeship program to help students who feel that they may need extra training or for those who’s cities require extra hours in order to perform permanent makeup services.   Enrolling and certifying in any of our permanent makeup or paramedical courses is an investment that can change your life forever. So many of our Alumni have extremely successful careers in this industry and are making great money while doing so. With that being said, our OMC Team is so proud to offer financing options for each and every PMU course that we have. This means that students are able to choose different payment plans that work best for them and their finances. We offer the choice to pay a deposit, or to sign up for PayPal Credit or Denefits. If you have any questions on payment plans and which one might be best for you, don’t hesitate to ask our call us at (216)203-9909 and we will be more than happy to assist you.   We hope to be apart of your permanent makeup journey and to hear from you soon-you won’t regret it!

Benefits to becoming a Permanent Makeup Artist-
Tumblr media
-People love makeup and sadly, makeup gets messed up and washed off at the end of the day, so that’s why permanent makeup was created. Permanent Cosmetics date back to Ancient Egypt, because Cleopatra is believed to have had permanent eyeliner. Permanent makeup is a career that is growing in popularity every day, very well paying and helps people feel better about themselves. It's been used for hundreds of years and isn't going to stop anytime soon. People love to look good and if they don't have to do their makeup themselves everyday, they'll have someone else do it for them. That's where we come in, we do their makeup and it lasts much longer than a few hours. While also saving them time and money. Some of the benefits of being a permanent technician are:
How good it makes you feel
Everyone loves makeup, especially makeup they don't have to wash off. Giving some eyebrows who didn't have them before or after a mastectomy giving a breast cancer survivor areolas again. These procedures are life changing to people, it boosts their confidence immensely. People will love the way you make them look and feel and this will make you love making people feel this way.
Financially
Permanent Makeup is a very specialized field, everyone charges different prices for different procedures, and most artists are self-employed. If an artist only does Microblading, which can cost around $500, they can make around $120,000 yearly, if they have a client almost every business day. For someone like me that does every procedure: $500 for Microblading, $450 for Classic Eyeliner, $375 for Lip Liner, and $500 for Full Lip Color, I could make around $148,000 a year. Microblading Hub has provided the average amounts for the procedures. Of course that's if I have a steady amount of customers coming in for the procedures. Your salary will increase depending on advertising and practicing, practice everything to better yourself. Also depending on the facilities specific prices, the amount will change. Ohio City Beauty Studio's cheapest procedure is $175 for Highlighted Brows and the most expensive is $3,600 a session for SMP Standard Procedure with Scars. Finally, the biggest factor in increasing your salary is education. If you're a nurse, esthetician, doctor, surgeon or dermatologist, it brings in more customers because it makes them feel more comfortable. I'm going to school for cosmetology and to get an esthetician license to help me further my credentials to bring in more customers
Training
Tumblr media
“Permanent makeup artists, also commonly called cosmetic tattoo artists or tattoo makeup artists, are beauty professionals who perform tattooing services specifically for creating the appearance of traditional cosmetic eyebrows, lip color, eyeliner, etc” (Makeup Artist Edu). The average amount each procedure takes should be about two and half hours. This career can be found in every state but not every city, maybe a few cities. The work is done in a licensed and certified facility. It has to go through multiple approvals before it can be performed. This job is very available to people interested and easy to get into, but only few succeed due to incorrect teachings, no practice, mistakes and not being performed in a licensed facility. Some classes are held in hotel rooms and salons that aren't licensed and registered. If you get trained in an area that's not licensed or registered, your certification will go unrecognized by your country. But once you get the certifications in a licensed and registered salon , you can begin work straight away. Either as an independent contractor, as most people do, or under someone's business. They will hire you immediately if you're good, due to the job procedures costing hundreds of dollars for two and a half hours.
Tumblr media
There are many upsides to being a permanent cosmetic technician. Every job has them but to directly make people feel good about themselves and happy, is something not a lot of jobs can do. As long as you get the correct training and work hard, you can become a technician yourself. It's definitely worth it.
Call (216)203-9909 or visit www.ohiomicropigmentationcenter.com to set up a date for your classes today.
