Hey Tori! This is a great opportunity for me to finally talk about my current WIP, thanks! :^D

I'm working on a project titled "Zen Arcade," based on Hüsker Dü's iconic 1984 album. If you've never heard of it before, here's the catch: It follows a narrative. Fun fact, no singles were released from it because it's meant to be taken as a whole story.

It consists of 23 tracks, so does my project with 23 chapters. Obviously my project isn't a prose form of the album, it's just based on it, so it differs here and there and uses most not all main story elements of the album.

I haven't written a proper synopsis for it yet, but I could summarise it as something like: a 1980s teenage punk runs away from his broken home, and struggles with homelessness as he fails in his searches for religion, watches his relationships fall apart, and keep tenuous hope for a better tomorrow as he tries desperately to not let addiction take that hope away from him.

I started planning it somewhere around November and I only got to writing the first draft last month. I'm really excited to progress on this project, share little pieces of information and excerpts from it, until I could finally release it. I haven't decided on what platform yet, so I'd appreciate your recommendations :^)

Writeblr Intro

Hey folks! My name's Red, I'm just a kid who's trying their hand at writing and aspiring to be an author one day. I decided to join the writeblr community in hope to find feedback and seek improvement.

I usually write short stories and novellas at best, with poems on the side. Got a few WIPs but nothing too serious so I won't go into depth in the meantime. Can't tell you much about genres since I'm experimenting, yet I could say all that I write falls on the realistic side. I'll be, though, posting projects that I wrote for fun or just as an exercise.

Other than writing and reading, I'm a realism traditional artist, and I do other things for kicks like sewing (thanks to the punk scene), and overcrowded moodboards/niche memes as a form of journaling.
