It’s such a beautiful thing, to have your own account, posting whatever your heart desires, where no one you know can find you.

There’s this popular quote “and when nobody wakes you up in the morning, and when nobody waits for you at night, and when you can do whatever you want, what do you call it, freedom or loneliness”, when I came across that quote for the first time when I was just a little girl, I answered in my head “freedom” without hesitation. The answer is still the same. There’s something about eyes constantly watching your every move that creeps me out. I’m not meant to be watched so closely, have people criticize my every move, be conscious of my every move. I am meant to flow as freely as the wind. Gently touch those who happen to cross paths with me without a second thought. I hope one day they realize my behavior doesn’t matter. Truly, it doesn’t matter . . .

I always feel a bit uneasy whenever I see my face in the mirror. It’s such a strange sight.

I happened to come across this quote by Edgar Allan Poe while scrolling on a social media app and chuckled softly as I read it. Because months ago I’ve written in my little messy journal: ‘What I felt for you feels like it could be more than love. Whatever is greater than love, I feel that for you’. This is exactly what I’ve always thought about you. And I know he is your favourite poet.
