One day, a Flower had met and gotten acquainted with a Pearl that lived far off, in the bottom of the sea. The Flower was BRILLIANTLY Beautiful and fragrant, with attractive colors. The Pearl shared NONE of these characteristics.
As they had become engrossed in conversation, the Flower said, ❝Our family is Large. Roses and Daisies are members of my family. There are MANY others. ALL of us have distinctive scents and appearances.❞ Suddenly, a tinge of distress had appeared on flower. ❝Nothing accounts for sorrow in your talk... So why are you depressed?❞ the Pearl asked.
❝Human beings deal with us CARELESSLY. They slight us. They do not grow us for our sake, but to get pleasure from our Fragrance and Beautiful appearance. They throw us on the street or in the garbage can after we are dispossessed of our Brilliance and Fragrance, our most valuable properties,❞ the Flower sighed.
The Flower had then said to the pearl, ❝Speak to me about your life... How do you live? You are buried at the bottom of the sea. How do you feel about it?❞ The Pearl had answered, ❝Although I have NONE of your distinctive colors and sweet scents, humans think I am Precious. They do the IMPOSSIBLE to procure me. They go on LONG journeys and dive DEEP in the seas searching for me. You might be astounded to know that the further I lay, the MORE Beautiful and Brilliant I become. THAT is what raises my value in their thought. I live in a thick shell, isolated in the dark seas. However, I am Happy and Proud to be in a safe zone far from wanton and mischievous hands. Still the humans consider me highly valuable.❞
Do you know what the Flower and Pearl symbolize?
You will find that, the Flower is the Unveiled Woman ❪who shows her charms❫ and the Pearl is the Veiled Woman ❪who conceals her beauty❫.
Subhan'Allah... X♡
Those of us who are not in head scarves, let us make an intention to do so.
Those of us who are in head scarves, let us make an intention to wear Abayas.
Those of us who are in Abayas, let us make an intention to wear Niqab.
Those of us who are in Niqab, let us not look down on those who do not.
Let us all ask for Istiqaamat and make an intention to increase in our good deeds, In Shaa Allah... X♥

Text EVERY Muslim Should Read: ❝Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum ❪The Sealed Nectar❫❞
Biography of the Noble Prophet ﷺ by Safi-ur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri
Islamic University Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah
Published by Dar-us-Salam
A complete authoritative book on the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by Sheikh Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarkpuri. It was honored by the World Muslim League as first prize winning book. Whoever would like to know the entire lifestyle of the Prophet ﷺ in detail should read this book.
❝Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah ﷻ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating ❮in Prayer❯, seeking Bounty from Allah ﷻ and ❮His❯ Pleasure. The mark of their Faith is on their faces ❪foreheads❫ from the trace of prostration ❮in Salah❯. That is their description in the Tawrat ❪Torah❫. And their description in the Injeel ❪Gospel❫ is as a ❮sown❯ seed which sends forth its shoots and strengthens them, which then becomes thick and they grow firm and stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers - so that Allah ﷻ may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah ﷻ has promised those among them who believe and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a Great Reward ❪Paradise❫.❞ 【Quran 48:29】
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had said, ❝The example of Guidance and Knowledge with which Allah ﷻ has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth. Some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. ⟨And⟩ another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah ﷻ benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, ⟨making their animals drink from it⟩ and to irrigate the land for cultivation. ⟨And⟩ a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation ⟨then that land gave no benefits⟩. The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah ﷻ's Religion ❪Islam❫ and gets benefit ⟨from the Knowledge⟩ which Allah Azawajal has revealed through me ⟨the Prophet ﷺ⟩ and learns and then teaches it to others. The ⟨last example is that of a⟩ person who does not care for it and does not take Allah ﷻ's Guidance revealed through me ⟨he is like that barren land⟩.❞ 〖Al Mukarramah〗

X💝 الشَهادَتانْ 💝X
Islam is founded on Five Pillars. These pillars anchor a Muslim's Deen ❪Belief❫ and establish the rituals that we must perform to demonstrate our beliefs.
🔸 The first pillar of Islam is the Shahadah, the proclamation of Faith. The proclamation of faith comprises two statements, Shahadatan, which encompass the core ideas of Islam.
In Arabic, the proclamation of faith is:
p>Ashhadu an laa ilaha illa'Allah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasool'Allah.
This translates as:
❝I bear Witness that there is no god but Allah ﷻ and I bear witness that Muhammad ﷺ is the Prophet of Allah ﷻ.❞
🔹 The first statement addresses the idea of Monotheism. In Islam, the concept of Tawheed, the Oneness and Unity of Allah ﷻ, is the centerpiece of it faith. He ﷻ does NOT have any partners and there is NOTHING like Him ﷻ or worthy of Worship. Therefore, Islam does NOT accept the Christian concept of the Trinity or the belief that Isaؑ ❪Jesusؑ ❫ is Divine.
🔹 The second statement deals with Prophecy. In Islam, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is considered to the be FINAL Prophet in a LONG line of Prophets sent to Humanity to preach monotheism. Thus, when a person utters this part of the proclamation they are ACKNOWLEDGING his Prophethood, as well as his part within the prophetic lineage. Moreover, by accepting the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the FINAL Prophet, a Muslim must Believe in the Message he brought.
Muslims utter the Shahadah MANY times throughout our lives. In fact, in order to become Muslim, we MUST believe AND say the proclamation of faith in front of witnesses.
The Shahadah is also said during Salah, Adhan ❪the call to Prayer❫, and at the time of death.
Some countries, like Saudi Arabia, include the Shahadah on the flag. The proclamation of faith establishes a Muslim's Deen, while the remaining pillars are rituals that demonstrate and strengthen that belief.
✸ NOTE JUST AS AN INFORMATIVE REFERENCE
The Shia have an ADDITIONAL statement:
Wa ashhadu anna Ali waliyyu Allah
Which translates to: ❝And I bear witness that Ali is Allah ﷻ's representative.❞
This highlights the importance of Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who the Shia believe should have been leader of the Muslim Ummah after the Prophet ﷺ’s death.
☪ La ilaha illa'Allah 👆 Muhammadan Rasool'Allah ☪

X💙 Lying 💙X
To fully appreciate the virtue of honesty, we must understand exactly what constitutes as a lie and what is regarded as lying.
🔸 COMPOSITION OF LIES
A lie is the COMPLETE opposite of truth. A lie is ANYTHING that is untrue. A deliberate intention to mislead another person is considered a lie, as well.
Therefore, a lie can be ANYTHING that is spoken or written which is totally or partially:
🔹 Baseless
🔹 Unreal
🔹 Made Up
🔹 Distorted
🔹 Exaggerated
Even exaggeratedly praising someone is a form of lying.
🔸 DISEASE OF THE HEART
Lying and untruths are ubiquitous. Lies are the underlying cause of MANY problems that occur throughout society, both at personal and communal levels. There are lies spoken and written in politics, business, personal dealings and the media, by Muslims and Kuffr alike. The degrees, magnitude and frequency of lies vary.
It is against our nature and physiology to lie. Just like any disease, lying has unique signs and symptoms. Lying produces turmoil within various control centers of the brain.
The moment we begin to lie, our bodies send out adverse signals which cause:
🔹 Spasms of the Facial Muscles
🔹 Expansion and Contraction of the Pupils
🔹 Perspiration
🔹 Skin Becomes Flush, Especially Cheeks and Hands
🔹 Increased Blinking
🔹 Tremors, Especially Hands
🔹 Increased Heart Rate
These are the fundamental elements which cause lie detector instruments to be effective.
When lying, people may even be prone to unconscious movements, like:
🔹 Constantly Covering the Mouth
🔹 Touching the Nose
🔹 Rubbing eyes
🔹 Scratching the Neck
🔹 Rubbing ears
The most obvious indicators to someone not being forthright is that they keep their palms closed or their gaze averted in an attempt to avoid eye contact. People are likely aware how their bodies betray them when they are lying. Liars often finding it easier to lie when no one can see them, either by phone or in writing.
🔸 THE MOTIVE BEHIND LIES
When someone lies, it is likely for the purpose of:
🔹 Concealing the Truth
People may lie because they are afraid of punitive consequences by law or individuals in their lives.
🔹 Cheating and Deceiving Others
Some people lie because they enjoy the misery of others, as the shaitan had with Adamؑ.
🔹 Short Term, Worldly Gains
There are people who lie to gain the favors of others or monetary gains.
🔸 FORMS OF LYING
The worst of all lies is falsely attributing things to Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ.
❝And if Muhammad ﷺ had made up about Us some ❮false❯ sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut from him the aorta.❞ 【Quran 69:44-46】
❝And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit ❮should be❯ taken. And if one of you entrusts another, then let him who is entrusted discharge his trust ❮faithfully❯ and let him fear Allah ﷻ, his Lord. And do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is indeed sinful, and Allah ﷻ is Knowing of what you do.❞ 【Quran 2:283】
❝Cover not the truth with falsehood, not conceal the truth when you know.❞ 【Quran 2:42】
Hypocrites lie to themselves.
❝In their hearts is disease, so Allah ﷻ has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they ❮habitually❯ used to lie.❞ 【Quran 2:10】
❝When the hypocrites come to you, ❮O Muhammad ﷺ❯, they say, ❛We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.❜ And Allah ﷻ knows that you are His Messenger ﷺ, and Allah ﷻ testifies that the hypocrites are liars.❞ 【Quran 63:1】
🔸 QURAN
❝And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, ❛Do you kill a man ❮merely❯ because he says, “My Lord is Allah ﷻ,” while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord ﷻ? And if he should be lying, then upon him is ❮the consequence of❯ his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allah ﷻ does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.❞ 【Quran 40:28】
❝Unquestionably, for Allah ﷻ is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him ❮say❯, ❛We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah ﷻ in position.❜ Indeed, Allah ﷻ will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah ﷻ does not guide he who is a liar and ❮confirmed❯ disbeliever.❞ 【Quran 39:3】
❝And the fifth ❮oath will be❯ that the curse of Allah ﷻ be upon him if he should be among the liars.❞ 【Quran 24:7】
🔸 HADITH
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had said, ❝Indeed, truth leads to virtue and virtue leads to Paradise, and a truthful person continues to speak the truth until he becomes the most truthful person. Lies lead to evil and evil leads to Hell, and a liar continues to lie until he is listed as a high ranking liar before Allah ﷻ.❞ Bukhari〗
Yusef ibn Abdullahؓ had said that he asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, ❝O Messenger of Allah ﷻ! What do you think is the most dreadful thing for me?❞ Yusefؓ had continued, ❝The Messenger caught hold of his tongue and said, ❛This.❜❞ 〖Tirmidhi〗
Bahz ibn Hakeem had relayed that the Messenger ﷺ said, ❝Destruction is for the man who tells lies for the amusement of other people. Destruction is for him.❞ 〖Tirmidhi〗
Sufyan ibn Usaydؓ had reported that the Messenger ﷺ said, ❝The biggest breach of trust is that you tell a thing to your brother who believes it to be true, whereas you have lied to him.❞ 〖Abu Dawud〗
🔸 IS LYING EVER JUSTIFIED?
There are no justifications for lying in Islam. Even under the HARSHEST circumstances of oppression, the Prophet ﷺ had directed us to always tell the truth.
🔸 VIRTUES OF HONESTY
Allah ﷻ commands each of us to remain truthful. It is a part of Iman ❪Faith❫. Truthfulness is an indispensable quality.
Honesty and truthfulness are mentioned in over one hundred places in the Quran.
❝That Allah ﷻ may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah ﷻ is ever Forgiving and Merciful.❞ 【Quran 33:24】
❝O you who have believed, fear Allah ﷻ and be with those who are true.❞ 【Quran 9:119】
❝O you who have believed, fear Allah ﷻ and speak words of appropriate justice.❞ 【Quran 33:70】
❝The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend ❮in the way of Allah ﷻ❯, and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.❞ 【Quran 3:17】
❝The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the Cause of Allah ﷻ. It is those who are the truthful.❞ 【Quran 49:15】
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s whole life had been the epitome of truth. He had been confirmed as a truthful person before becoming a Prophet ﷺ. Even his enemies had confirmed that he had been truthful and trustworthy. There had been disbelievers had deposited their belongings with him, an indication of their trust in him.
May Allah ﷻ make us firm and unshakable in Iman and character. May it be that the only fear we have is fear of Him. Through us, may the weak in Iman and the unbelievers find a righteous example of Muslim etiquette. Ameen Summa Ameen Ya Rabbul A'alaameen… X💜
