i’d DIE to know when and why did Javier finally realize that Dutch ain’t shit. he probably realized it a long time ago but WHY did he break his blind loyalty to him, what was it exactly?? & i feel like both he and Bill went through it together & became close, which explains why Javi was protecting Bill in RDR
Whatever it was that made Javier leave Dutch, it happened before the epilogue because John can read a newspaper that states Javier went back to Mexico between Arthur’s death and the start of the epilogue. Maybe Dutch just deteriorated even further and Javier just reached the point where he was like “okay yeah this is too far now,” and just left? Because he already knew Dutch was acting crazy because he says so multiple times (to Dutch’s face) throughout the game. So maybe his limit of what he was willing to put up with was reached and he just decided to call it quits and head back to Mexico. I definitely think you’re right about him going through it with Bill, because obviously they both left Dutch at some point so it would make sense if they left at the same time. Maybe Dutch was just so incoherent at that point that they saw no chance of it ending well for them. Or maybe Dutch led them on yet another botched robbery and they just thought “fuck this, we’re out.”
I’m praying (like a lot of people seem to be) that we get a story dlc in Mexico. There seems to be a lot of people who want to play as Javier in the time gap between rdr2 and rdr1 and see what led him to becoming the weak, cowardly snake that we saw in the first game. Because even though we saw a significant shift in his personality over the course of the game, he wasn’t particularly spineless or weak at the end of it. Not to the point that he was in the first game, anyways. So here’s hoping rockstar give us more Javier in the story dlc. Though I wouldn’t hold out hope for a dlc after they abandoned their promise of a story dlc for gta v. But we can dream, right?

Not mine!! Found on Reddit. Laughing my ass off. Not sure who I am. One of you will have to figure it out for me. I think calling Susan Shawshank Redemption is the funniest because I’m a sucker for a good pun. Calling Mary-Beth the “better Mary” is also pretty funny.

i’ve been following Javier around camp.. again. and he just woke up, washed, had coffee and then went all the way to sit and smoke next to Tilly who was doing laundry. and we’ve all seen him take his guitar to sit next to her and play. I believe that even though they don’t interact much, Javier prefers Tilly out of the girls (probably the whole camp since we don’t see him choosing a specific company) and likes to be around her and just silently spend time with her and relax. uwu
#Javier Escuella#rdr2#Tilly Jackson#that’s some cute shit right there#i know tilly has a crush on him uwu#douchebag arthur can antagonize her about it lol

The Gang’s Horse’s Personalities.
Dutch van der Linde- The Count is arrogant and finicky. He is very particular about what tack he is saddled with and what kind of hay he is fed with.
Hosea Matthews- Silver Dollar is always up for a lazy stroll. He is sensitive to Hosea’s coughing fits and gets every upset when he gets that way.
Arthur Morgan- Boadicea is swift. She loves to run and play in water. Shes always egging on the other horses to run around with her when they are released to graze.
John Marston- Old Boy is just as miserable of a horse as John feels on the inside but is as tough as John wishes be could be. It is also rumored that his epilogue horse, Rachel is named after his dead daughter.
Bill Williamson- Brown Jack is gentle despite his large exterior. He takes treats from you gently and if your fingers end up in his mouth, you never feel any teeth. Loves to roll around in snow.
Javier Escuella- Boaz HAS to be groomed daily. If he doesnt have his hair in its proper place he will buck and whine incessantly. Javier’s singing always calms him. Boaz understands Spanish words better than english.
Micah Bell- Baylock is a tender horse. He takes treats with gratitude but in a fight he will not hesitate to bite out chunks. Micah sneaks him sugar cubes late at night so no one sees him being overly kind.
Lenny Summers- His horse is always ready to go and full of energy. Is a bit skittish in a fight but never throws his rider.
Charles Smith- Taima is the kindest horse. She never says no and never bolts in a fight. Loves to nibble on Charles’s hair and ears playfully. She loves it when he takes her swimming and tells her about his day.
Sean MacGuire- His horse is always hungry. Easily eats its weight in hay and treats. Whenever Kieran grooms him, he always rolls around in the dirt out of spite.
Sadie Adler- Bob is mean to the core. He bites whenever someone gets too close. He is always excited for a fight.
Kieran Duffy- His horse is always nervous. Very flighty and jumpy. Is always seeking comfort from anyone near him and ear scratches.
Josiah Trelawny- His horse is SUPER dramatic. Sometimes even fakes injuries to get attention. He always looks dapper and Trelawny tells him his best stories.
Uncle- Neil is the only thing Uncle is ever responsible with. He is also the only thing Uncle can rely on. Whenever he goes out on a bender and passes out, Neil brings him back home
