With season 3 being so close, here are some of my predictions
- will have at least one scene with zayna family before the group leaves
- the plane is for the kentrosaurus that we saw in the last episode of season 2
- Gia grandmother might try to sell bumpy baby to bioysn in order to help her family in some way
- bumpy baby will be a girl and will have some kind mutation that makes her a bit different from the other jw ankylosaurus
- the pyroraptor is Dobson gift to Soyona, to celebrate their partnership
- Brooklyn will run into the same allosaurus again at the amber market
- the locust will be a minor part of the story
-More insight on what happened to mantah corp will be revealed, even if it's minor
- Kenji will almost be completely quiet and unfocused for the beginning of the season. Maybe saying a few words to the group and giving ben the silent treatment
- very few or maybe even no flashbacks this season
- if they didn't meet in school in some way, Gia and Ben met eachother on dark jurassic
- the season will end with the campers heading for or already being in Bioysn Valley

Predicting that the handler was one of those military dog trainers before meeting Santos and part of her motivation is wanting to phase out those dogs for dinosaurs that are better adapted for warfare. However, that goal will come into question when her raptors start being treated inhumanily by the people she works for.
Or she just a complete wierdo that feels more at home with these killer reptiles and admires their power. Preferring raptors/dinosaurs over people

Simple sketch of the other seadragonus giganticus maximus as nightfurys plus toothless

Toothless: Much like in the books, toothless is the youngest one here
Green Death: Toothless dad, Him and toothless were the only nightfurys of the volcano nest. Despite being toothless father, the green death didn't like his son at all and usually just stole food from him.
Purple death: a rivial, trying to take the green death territory on Dragon island. The Purple death was just as mean and nasty as toothless father. The two fought viciously for hours in the volcano, creating a lot of noise which angred the red death. Resulting in both of them getting eaten
Furious: the nightfury of Outcast Island, this aggressive titanwing is very untrusting of humans and will even come to the aid of predatory dragons like changwings if a human has the upper hand on them. This hatred of humans only got worse when Alvin tried to capture him for his dragon army, but this failed attempt only resulted in alot of dead outcasts.
Luna: During the war, vikings would tell stories of a vengeful ghost that haunted the deep woods of berk. letting out blood curdling screams till the crack of dawn, searching for the dragon who killed her in the night. Ironically, this screaming ghost was a dragon, specifically a blind female nightfury, just trying to find a date. She got her name by her large pale cataract eyes, that looked like two moons. Being blind she had to make up her lack of vision with echolocation, which surpasses any nightfury including toothless.
Wodensfang: found half dead on a block of ice floating in the Arctic ocean without his tail fins, left by hunters who didn't realize they caught a nightfury. Wodensfang would have died if it wasn't for valka, finding and nursing him back to health in the sanctuary. As a nightfury, he preferred to stay away from the other dragons but would occasionally visit valka and cloudjumper whenever he was feeling social. After the events of drago, he was brought to berk which is where he got his new tail. Turning this sleepy old dragon into an energetic nightfury, racing all over berk with toothless.
Idk just a little au when nightfury were just rare and not hunted to extinction by some crusty old guy

Prediction for the Dinosaurs that will show up this season
Since it seems their won't be any new species, it's a safe bet that it will be dominion exclusive dinos this time around
1) lystrosaurus: appears in malta in the movie, is a fan favorite and it's one of the test tube critters from season 2 so it has a strong chance of showing up
2) Oviraptor: if the Malta stuff happens in the beginning of the season than their a good chance it will appear, with it stealing bumpy egg
3) Giganotosaurus: so far every captivz toy dino has appeared, so it pretty likely it will be in the show. Tho I'm imagining it will be like the pachyrhinosaurus, where it won't play a massive role.
Now on to creatures, that could appear, but it's really unlikely
1) Quetzalcoatlus: pteranodon is kind of the go-to pterosaur. Unless they have quetzalcoatlus attack the plane like in dominion, chances are were not gonna see the species until rebirth
2) Therizinosaurus: if the campers or Brooklyn ever get the chance to explore bioysn valley. Than we could see one but chances are they would use giganotosaurus instead
3) Tarbosaurus: this dinosaur has no chance of showing up. Only suggesting it because it's the only other large theropod they could use that not the trex or spino, if they show some of the dinosaur battles in the amber market

The animation for season 3 does look a bit off? Alot more stiff when it comes to the movement, but their are scenes of much smoothier animation so I'm hoping it's just a result of the trailer editing
Apart from that, this new season looks great! Once again, it looks like their really gonna take advantage of the new environment
Seeing the pyroraptor is really exciting, I know this show will do this feathered terror some justice. It also seems like it might be apart of the atrociraptor pack 👀
Looking forward to how the show is going to adapt the locust plot line. Out of everything in dominion that was definitely one of the most criticized elements of the movie, mainly because it took away focus from the dinosaur so will have to see if the show does something similar or if it will better balance the two. I will say with Brooklyn being a journalist I do think it will at the very least be more interesting to watch seeing her figure out what biosyn is doing unlike the movie cast which just stumbled into it.
I'm really glad that their showing ben girlfriend right away. The whole secret girlfriend thing was a bit goofy imo. No strong impression on her yet, but I'm looking forward to what kind of dynamic she brings to the group and how exactly she knows ben.
Also, SPECKLES REVEALLLLL

Hoping that season 3 doesn't give us another mid-sized carnivore
Becklespinax, suchomimus, majungasaurus, and the luecistic baryonyx are all amazing and have some beautiful designs, but some deviation would be nice.
Maybe another raptor or even an aggressive pterosaur of some kind to give the campers a new kind of challenge

Something I always loved about the httyd books are the names of the dragon species, because you'll get some really awesome names like Monstrous Nightmare, Polar serpent, Bullrougher and Silver phantoms
And then their shit like water dragon, mood dragon, and stink dragon

My attempt at a Speed stinger in the "live action style"
Used a jw raptor for obvious reasons, a basilisk lizard as so far the live action is trying it's best to use only reptiles as inspiration and a sting ray barb as that the closest thing to a stinger that any non exoskeleton has.

Okay some toys got revealed and we got a better look at the new Red death.
Obviously, with it being a toy, it's not a perfect reflection of the design will see in the movie but at least give us an idea of what to expect.
Overall, the design doesn't deviate too far from the original. bulky build, chunky tail, and a row of spikes with a couple of broken ones. A difference I noticed is that it's a lot more compact than the animated one with a larger head in proportion to its body, my guess is that they took inspiration from ceratopsian dinosaurs since that the closest thing to a real life counterpart you can get to this dragon
Now onto the head, which has changed dramatically, instead of a boxy head with a strong underbite, smaller nose horn, large teeth, and a coral like head frill. The one in the remake has a head that ends with a beak like shape, a strong brow ridge that sits above the eyes, longer nose horn, a frill that looks more like tree bark that has a second layer and most surprisingly rows of teeth kinda like a shark.
When it comes to colors, it seems that the live action will be alot more drab than it's blueish gray counterpart but will sport a red head crest that seems to trail a bit more down the dragons back and on the tip of the wings. Additionally instead of light blue eyes, the eyes will green.
Quick little sidenote, they referred to it as Titan Red Death, not sure if that just to market the toy or if the movie will confirm that the red death is a titan wing

Not great with editing, so apologies if this looks off
A minor tweak on the live action terrible terror by giving it a geckos eye. They gave toothless his big expressive eyes, so it's not unreasonable for the terrors to have them as well

They gave the terrible terror chameleon eye because??
It's not bad on its own. It's a funny looking dragon, but it's not really a terrible terror. Idk I can't imagine it doing or sounding like the one from the animated film
Like the gremlin energy didn't translate at all

I'm curious if the reason they overhauled the Red Death design (realism aside) was because they wanted the design to better fit the name
Cause originally it was the Green Death but for whatever reason they changed it to Red
I know it sounds dumb but idk I just wanna know what the thought process was here

Look I understand that isn't a fair comparison considering this isn't the clearest shot
But like come on

I don't see how this is supposed to be scarier than the animated version. If anything the original red death is way meanier looking
