Damn it's been awhile since I posted here, huh. I'm so sorry for my lack of activity here. I've been in a deep creative daze for a long time, and with the election results, watching my actual life mirror the events of civil unrest I wanted to touch upon in One Pace From Disgrace makes me feel like I'm in some nightmare fairytale.

I think the biggest reason I stalled working on this fic was how hard it was to come to terms with the fact that what used to be my favorite show was at best horribly ignorant and at worst spewed all kinds of political propaganda about tolerating racism and genocide. But I've come to terms with it now, and I'm here for anyone else affected by this who needs to come to terms with and grieve the loss of the election.

Talk to people you trust, exchange skills and ideas, form communities, find local activist groups, look into self sustainability, and protest any way you can. And if there's any way I can use my art to help people in need, don't hesitate to let me know!

What is Cordial like, I see you've posted about him maybe once or twice but you haven't gone into detail about his relationship with Juno.

I haven't really put that much thought into him, since he was only Juno's husband by arrangement and wasn't that significant in her life.

But now that you ask, he was an aristocrat. A patron of the arts. He sang, played guitar, frequented museums, donated to artists, things like that. The kind of fun-loving and light-hearted man you'd think Juno would get along perfectly with. And she did for a little bit; they would always sing together and attend high-society parties together.

But he was never exactly a rock of support. Being sheltered and comfortable his whole rich life, he never knew how to handle the mental and emotional struggles that came with Juno's life as a Solarian warrior, and could never take her problems seriously when he tried. And this went beyond her mental health issues; whenever she brought up environmental and philosophical concerns like the coming famines or the Mewman-Monster relations, he would laugh it off, tell her not to worry about it, or say she's being dramatic.

Juno wasn't leaving much behind when she took that job at St. Orville's Asylum, and Cordial wasn't leaving much behind when he joined a pirate crew to be free from the stuffy aristocrat lifestyle.

1. She's connected to the Supreme High Chancellor

2. She shares Toffee's last name

Who is the successor of Omnitraxus Prime in Corona’s MHC?

I haven't decided that yet. As of right now, I've chosen three members of the Magic High Commission to be reincarnated into characters that'll matter in the next generation. But only two of them will be their successors. The others being reincarnated will just be ordinary background characters. As for the people in their place, not sure yet.

Lol that wasn't Solaria. That was someone else's OC named Solar. They were temporarily part of the New Commission while I was still figuring out the lore

Shortcuts lead to bad habits, an turn of phrase Festivia was entirely aware of and knew to be at least a little true. She tried to keep them to a minimum. But she hadn't seen her father in ages, and she just wanted to be able to surprise him. So what she was a little short on time, and while doing it wandless was a little trickier she used magic to make pies for parties enough times that she should've had it down to a science!

...Should have.

However, she might have loss track of time with how focused she was, and the call snapped her out of the zone she was in so she spun around first towards the sound, and then quickly again to catch the bowl of berries before they could smash and spill over the floor.

I totally forgot I said that! But I still remember exactly what moment I was talking about when I said Toffee hissed at someone as an adult:

Toffee and Juno had ventured away from Pie Island to take part in a pie festival on the coast of Mewni. Of course they brought little toddler Festivia with them. The kid is crawling away from the kiosk, and guess who comes out of nowhere to boop little Tivi on the nose? Fucking Hekapoo. The whole Magic High Commission is there, coming to ask "Hey wanna put your baby on the throne?"

You bet your ass the moment Toffee saw Hekapoo touch Tivi he scooped up his kid, held her away, and hissed like a feral rabid cat.

"Isshvelt, my friend, my bosom buddy! Toffee! Do ease the nagging mind of your good old pal here. Didya make any kindsa hatchling sounds when you were real young, by any chance?"

Since my headcanon is that Septarians were more advanced than most races, even current day Mewni, what if their fashions reflected this? Mewni looks like 15th-16th century Europe, and Septarians would have fashion more from the Gregorian to Victorian or even Edwardian period.
