• Ruben Gallego is projected to defeat Kari Lake for a much-needed Democratic Senate gain in Arizona (replacing Kysten Sinema, who had become an independent)

• Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester will become the first woman and first black person to represent Delaware in the Senate.

• Angela Alsobrooks will become the first black woman to represent Maryland in the Senate.

• ^This is the first time 2 black women have been elected to the US Senate at the same time. Only 3 black women have served in the Senate before them: Carol Moseley Braun, Kamala Harris, and Laphonza Butler, who is a current Senator (D-CA).

If the policies Trump instates beings to hurt the people you love and you voted for him, voted third party, or abstained on some moral high ground I want you to know that is also *YOU* ACTIVELY HURTING THEM.

When the government takes away women’s healthcare and autonomy and you have to sit there at the funeral of your friend, aunt, daughter, sister, or mother I want you to remember YOU killed them.

If you didn’t do your part to keep trump out of office, I hope it haunts your for the rest of your days and keeps you up at night. I hope the guilt never leaves you. We warned you about what would happen and you didn’t listen!

While in a perfect world we wouldn’t have the two party system, we can’t vote like that because we *don’t* live in a perfect world.

People DIED to get the right to vote and if you wasted it then they died for nothing!

I lay in bed, sounds of fireworks ring in the distance sounding more like gunshots to the heart of democracy.

How could we let this happen?

Once again, Trump was underestimated.

Once again we thought we have a slam dunk.

So who is to blame?

I want to scream and yell and cry and shout. How could we allow this to happen? How could that many people underestimate a monster who’s not even trying to hide it?

How can an overprotective father threaten a men his daughter is dating in one breathe and in the next support and man who wants to grab women by the pussy? How can a mother support a sexual predator who wants to take away her rights?

To say I’m disappointed in my fellow America’s is an understatement. Each and every one of us played a part to get Trump here. We created this monster and it will be the end of us all.

As I sit here watching this go down, know that if you voted for trump you will never recover in my eyes. I watch people vote for someone so cruel I cannot even consider them a person. You have voted for a monster.

I watch this happen and I thinks about the kind of person you have to be to vote for trump.
