When he got the note, he folded and unfolded it a few dozen times until the pages became so soft and weak that the paper tore. He ended up keeping the ripped shreds in his sweatshirt pocket, almost becoming a reminder of what he could have. A different life right at his fingertips.

Maybe it was because Fiona started crying right after he got the note, maybe it was because he just really hates himself, maybe it’s because Ryan complimented him for the first time in what felt like months, but he didn’t do it. Couldn’t do it.

It takes way too long to get home in Philadelphia traffic. The recent move to Philadelphia was abrupt and random. New York didn’t do him well. He felt big and oversized and claustrophobic with so many people around him. Suffocated, more like. Stuffed in a tiny apartment with a few roommates, couldn’t get a minute alone, felt jittery and angry. Like he wanted to jump out of his skin. He felt too big for his bed, too big for the kitchen, too big for the city.

His alpha felt unsettled throughout the entire year he was in New York. Constantly yearning to be closer to home. Closer to L-

HARRY THINKS LOUIS IS KINDOF DUMB AND ONLY THERE FOR A GOOD FUCK, LIL DOES HE KNOW THAT LOUIS IS SMART AND BEAUTIFUL AND VERY KIND. AKA THEY FALL IN LOVE! GOODBYE.
