era’s au + silly doodle

for some reason the era’s au is punching me in my gut and stealing my money(art block)

headcanon that when luna lets dark take control his ‘head’ starts spinning like a beyblade and disconnects from his neck (freaks the hell out of anyone and everyone)

yapping more about the era’s au under the cut hehe >:)

Picture one: Luna after his ‘birth’, or gaining consciousness. He woke up much earlier than the Earth did, so he and TDSOTM mostly just spoke to each other as they waited for their planet to wake up. Through that time they discussed everything, from Luna and Dark describing their surroundings to one another(it mostly went like “i see a flaming ball” “omg me too” “thats crazy”) to them deciding names for the other. Dark and Luna are much closer in Era’s because of this time period. Dark got his name because he wanted to be edgy. He’s like Luna’s emo self. (Inside you there are two wolves—)

Picture two: Era Two! Era Two is when the rest of the planets start forming, and Montu(Ares, Mars) and Hathor(Aphrodite, Venus) are the first and second of the rocky planets. There have been more rockies between the two, but they crash into each other most of the time before developing a proper consciousness. Montu is Hathor’s first friend, and they stay like that for quite a while. They start drifting away from their close relationship when both of them develop conditions for life, and Hathor refuses to leave his orbit while Montu becomes uptight and too afraid to lose his conditions, and they become Ares and Aphrodite. While Aphrodite is clouded in his happiness for life, he doesn’t pay much attention to Ares. But Ares pays attention to Aphrodite. Ares may just have water(that he is horrified to lose), Aphrodite has real life, and Ares vows to make sure Aphrodite doesn’t lose it because of a stray asteroid from the belt.

eras au characters because i’ve been focusing on the ice giants for a bit

next thing to look forward to(i think): “Introduction to Era III - Rockies”, “Vulcan and Hermes.”

era 3, or the “proto” era, will be most heavily covered as it has the most events and is a favorite in the solarballs fandom!

Theme for this art: Earths depression after moon rev.

Aint no way there arent some consequences left, he literally attempted suicide and yet he(with everyone else) acts like it never happend or that it was a "silly" mistake. If Earth was better written, he would had probably suffered from abandondment issues, guilt, etc.(everyones depression is different but the way Earth is written gives off that he never was depressed. I get it, it was months ago but its like there isnt any lasting damage???)

LUNA: You're fine, don’t worry! It’s just, I’ve known him for a really long time, y’know?

MERCURY: Okay, well, me too, but I don’t care about him like you do!

LUNA: No, Mercury, I’ve known him for my entire life, my first memory is him.

MERCURY: Huh… really?

LUNA: Uh huh!

LUNA: Wait, what did you think my first memory was?

Relationships in the “Proto-Era”/Era III ! (Under the cut is rambling about my AU)

Eras was created from a collection of theories and headcanons. theoretical planets have quotations around their names("theia"/"x") because they do not have names in canon!

"theia" and terra seem to be the most focused on in popular past aus, and most have similar personalities, so I decided to turn that on its head and make Eras! Era III/"The Proto-Era" is definitely the most developed currently!

terra was only popular in the inner system— giants and rockies rarely interacted outside of hermes being a messenger and ares talking to zeus. terra was only interesting in the inner system because he was one of the last planets created not by a collision. because of this, aphrodite began to favour him and proclaimed terra his brother. "theia" saw this as an opportunity to finally be liked, and tried to be friends with terra. this... did not go well—several times.

the gas giants do not like each other, in fact, cronos and zeus can be seen arguing and throwing asteroids at each other rather than doing anything else. they have a shared dislike/hatred of "x", maybe that could do something.

the ice giants are brothers, poseidon and caelus being older twins to "x". poseidon's personality and role is a complete 180 from present-day neptune.
