Baneful Magic Masterpost
***I understand that cursing is a controversial topic for some people. I don't believe in the threefold's law or whatnot, so such things aren't a concern for me. I do, however, advise you to only curse someone who truly deserves it. Curses are meant to be permanent and difficult to break, while hexes aren't nearly as potent. Do with that knowledge what you will. Intense spells will be marked with "***".***

Materially speaking Liberalism and Fascism have far more in common then they do in difference; it can even be argued that they more exist on a spectrum than as two totally separate ideologies. This clearly makes Liberals (especially those who consider themselves to be left/left-leaning) very uncomfortable as they make up all kinda of elaborate theories about how Fascism is this strange and totally novel aberration that has nothing to do with a normal functional Liberal society. But because material reality does not back this viewpoint up, such theories always end up as very stupid idealist nonsense.
One of their favourite ways to approach this is through the lens of Individualist psychopolitics. You'll hear them come up with ideas like that of "Authoritarian Personalities", or talk about how Fascism "grows off hate" and needs to keep people "lonely and sad " so they devote themselves to the "father figure" of "The State". They make Fascism sound less like an actual ideology and more like some sort of supernatural evil that rises to power when enough individuals chose to give in to their "darker impulses". It's not a remotely useful way to view the subject, but it does make them feel smart and morally righteous which is really all it's meant to do

I wish more people read. Of course there were citizens within the USSR who despised Stalin and the CPSU and even called for their deaths, however this was a minority and often those who opposed the CPSU sympathized with either the Tsar or unfortunately Hitler, claiming that Hitler would liberate them.
Stalin and the CPSU enjoyed a majority of support from the citizens much to the chagrin of Liberals. Those who sympathized with Stalin and the CPSU often cited women's and national minority rights, worker protections and benefits, improving healthcare and nutrition and overwhelmingly access to education as reasons for their support. Those who were in opposition cited issues such as lack of consumer goods, lack of variety of consumer goods, unfair economic practices (such as welfare for the very poorest), the State's atheist sentiments, and the expansion of rights to national minorities including (and especially) the Jewish population.
Many Liberals will rush to defend fascism in a heartbeat either without realizing it (which is no excuse) or by lying to themselves as Fascism is preferable to Communism for them.

The issue with "porn addiction" rhetoric, aside from it being scientifically unfounded, is that it's just another line that makes excuses for men.
Blaming the objectification and degradation of women and girls on "porn addicts" creates a divide -- between good men, upright men, men we love, men who would never dream of mistreating women; and bad men, predatory men, men who are evil because something within their brains is broken. It says that no, the issue isn't societal, it's an issue innate to a specific type of person. My favorite man would never do such a thing!
And this is exactly why it's so popular with conservatives, why its main proponents are religious organizations. On one hand, it takes one of the core harms done by misogyny and repackages it into something that can instead be blamed on individual moral failing. On the other, it provides a justification to attack any expression of sexuality beyond the monogamous, Christian standard by claiming that any and all sexual desire is proof of "degeneracy".

Enough of trying to convince yankees that people other than them are real. It's time to choose the position that yankees aren't. They're bots and paid actors with silly accents who only exist behind the screen. I haven't seen one in real life so they must be fake.
#as someone living in the us i can confirm yankees are not real#lana del rey made up amerikkka so she could sing badly about something

Fucking wild how ostensibly left-wing people in the imperial core are now repeating slogans like “you shouldn’t have to work to make a living!” Like yeah, sure, maybe not every individual needs to labor in order for there to be enough production to maintain society, but some of them need to—and it should be plainly obvious that the more people there are working, the lighter any individual’s load will be. It only appears to people in the imperial core that everyone can be supported without the need for them to labor because so much of the work that upholds our society is exported to the neo-colonies. UBI is the ultimate demand of the bourgeois proletarians.

Either way it's always fascinating to see people miss the point of operation condor because like yeah sure it was about communism but it also wasn't about communism at all. Like some of the governments weren't even socialist. It was also about nations that were organizing and doing good for themselves and posed a threat to the united states' opulent ways of living. It was kinda about cheap tropical fruit all year round and shirts under ten dollars and conveniently affordable meat for barbecues. It is about capitalism but in the sense that they needed operation condor to keep capitalism working. In the sense that the american dream depends on the constant suffering and submission of other countries.

Sorry if you've been receiving too many questions about North Korea, but this was something I was wondering that I couldn't find an answer to. If Kim Jong Un isn't really the head of the North Korean government in the same way the President of the USA is, why is he the "face" of North Korea both in and out of the country?
The "face" of a country is its head of state. In presidential systems like the US, the head of state is also the head of government, but that is not the case for every country. For example, in the United Kingdom, it is the king or queen who is the head of state while the prime minister is the head of government. In the DPRK, the President of the State Affairs Commission is the head of state, and the Premier is the head of government.

A study just came out from Harvard about how gender affirming surgeries are more commonly performed on "cisgender men/boys" than transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people.
But these men/boys have gynecomastia which, if they were born with it (and the study doesn't specify), they're not just "cisgender".
They're intersex.
How many times now have intersex people told us perisex (non-intersex) people to stop using the statistics of their surgeries just as trans talking points, while erasing intersex people on the whole?
We have no idea how many of those surgeries were forced, or coerced, onto these intersex people. Either from doctors, parents, or even societal pressure.
Perisex trans people need to do better. We have to be better allies to intersex people than this. It disgusts me just how much we have failed our own community, time and time again.
UPDATE
The study actually specifically excluded intersex people.
"Importantly, all surgical procedures among patients with indications of differences in sex development or patients with other medical indications for surgery (eg, cancer, injury) were excluded..."
I'm happy to see this particular study has taken care to exclude intersex people, since surgeries done on them cannot be compared to transgender surgeries, but please bear in mind that this is still just one study.
The horrible truth is that medical abuse against our intersex siblings is still heavily normalized within the medical industry. From using terms like DSD, to forcing kids and even BABIES into sexual binaries with non or dubiously consensual surgeries or HRT, these horrors that intersex people have to go through are all too normal for them. That's unacceptable.
If you have reblogged this post without this update, I urge you to delete that reblog and reblog this version instead. We can fight for intersex rights and (if you're also perisex) show our solidarity without spreading misinformation.
