Okay but imagine this:

An AU where Harry is a vampire hiding in Nialls attic, but he’s the kinda vampire that literally cannot be in the sunlight so he waits every night for Niall to fall asleep so he can leave and adventure/feed. Niall obviously has no idea but he’s an insomniac so vary rarely sleeps and when he does it’s usually during the day so Harry is trapped wondering why this kid doesn’t have a sleeping pattern like normal people. One night he hears Niall bustling around and is so damn desperate to get out of the space he’s been trapped in so thinks ‘fuck it’ and leaves to loft to go and confront Niall and then they make friends and they drink tea on the nights Niall can’t sleep and are just bros

Narry au where Niall has lost his memory somehow and doesn’t really remember Harry and has no recollection of them being niallandharry. So Harry is kind of heart broken but doesn’t force Niall to believe, just mentions small things like how Niall can’t sleep with socks on or makes his tea perfectly or reminds him to put his retainer in before bed and Niall begins to realize that this person knows every part of him and then slowly the memories come back, there are still parts missing but it’s better than nothing. And Niall asks harry why he never said and harry just replies ‘you can’t tell someone they love you’ and fluff ensues

An AU where Niall has the power to sense injuries/illnesses, really anything from bruising to broken bones to the flu to cancer. He can't do anything about it though, just tries to give as many people as possible as much comfort as possible. He'd first discovered this power when someone who was very close to him (family or best friend) got ill, and he had to watch them slowly deteriorate, and there was nothing he could do about it. (1)

He doesn’t really know if this power is a blessing or a curse, tries not to get to involved, but it’s hard. One day he walks past Harry, and he feels the familiar feeling in the pit of his stomach, but he isn’t close enough to Niall for him to figure it out. A few days later Harry bumps into Niall at a store, they get to talking and Niall finally able to feel what’s wrong with Harry. He tries everything he can to get Harry to go to a doctor without telling him anything about his power, etc. (2)

I keep thinking about this Bonding AU with Niall, solo artist Niall having an incredible first year, achieving so many goals/dreams he’s set for himself as a singer yet one keeps evading him. Love. And one night at the party his record label has thrown for him celebrating his achievements he meets Harry. University student Harry, a whirlwind free spirit/wanderluster who loves all because love is love and lives his life day by day, without any expectations or plans and is only present at the party because his best-friend Nick got him a job as a waiter for the night. They spend the first couple of hours aware of each other, gravitating around each other, watching from afar before Niall takes a risk and a step into Harry’s personal space and thats all it takes for the both of them to become attached. They spend the rest of the night sitting outside on the balcony, talking, drinking from twin bottles of champagne, a long fascinating conversation about life and future dreams thats entwined with laughter and a shared, mutual appreciation that draws two souls closer and weaves a binding spell around two unclaimed hearts. They separate unwillingly when dawn begins to lighten the night sky and even though their life paths draw them apart, it does nothing to waiver the mutual adoration they develop for each other during that one night, a constant/what if longing that imprints itself on their hearts. 12 months they spend apart, each dealing with the ups and downs that life throws at them, yet it’s memories of their shared conversation during these life trials that keeps them thinking about each other, keeps the memory of each other fresh in their minds and makes them think of each other and thats what draws them back into each other’s life and arms, exactly where each other should be.
