Main Theme and The Battle, conducted by composer Arturo Díez Boscovich, performed live by The Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra at the MOSMA Festival in Spain in 2017. The new compositions were written and performed to accompany Timothy Zahn's classic novel, Heir to the Empire. About the composition of these new pieces, Boscovich said to the audience, "[It] is one of those things David Doncel approached me with. He wanted me to compose music about a book from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. It is not a film, it is a book -- a similar thing that Joel McNeely did, in a brilliant way with Shadows of the Empire, a great work, a really great work from my point of view. And well in this case I felt a real pressure, because I have been postponing and writing till the last day because I was scared to sit down and do it, all because of the respect that I feel about John Williams' musical legacy. I love it. In the end I think I have written with respect to John Williams' music language, and I follow the style that he created for this special saga."
