“DAY AT LIAQAT BAGH” It was another day of 2nd week, ‘Living newspaper’. Next day we were supposed to translate our news to the public in LIAQAT BAGH. With another headline, “Sugar spice and everything nice”, my news for the day! It was very difficult to interact with the people of liaqat bagh. But still I tried to pull it off ! I started making jewellery out of the material given and we were also allowed to use the material available at site. Sugar spice and everything nice? Yes this was what was in my mind.. when I distributed some jewellery pieces to the people in liaqat bagh at first they were amazed to see a girl giving things in a public park, they had a smile on their face even men were taking jewellery from me .. Everyone in park was amazed to see my act, they didn’t know what I was doing, they were just looking at me they had thousands of questions in their mind but still they were smiling.

One good experience with the audience of liaqat bagh!

2nd week, “LIVING NEWSPAPER” Now, 2nd week was started already, we were given different newspapers so that we could pick one news and work in pairs, me and my colleague choose a news “CASES OF METHAMPHEMINE, CRYSTAL MYTH OVERDOSE ON RISE”. We were given limited material for it. In which we were suppose to execute our news! Now this was 2nd day of 2nd week of my minor, we were only allow to work in our studio (class) spaces that day. We started brainstorming first because we were restricted with the materials.. it was very difficult to execute a living newspaper in limited material.

Starting off with cutting ‘cartons’ and making small square boxes out of it and set a 'Plastic sheet’ to show flumes .. which was depicting overdose of drugs. Our teachers were quite impressed to see this environment.

In the 2nd week of minor, On the very first day we had our drawing class in which we were suppose to 'DRAW IN TEXT'. Confusing yeah? Yes, this is what we were supposed to do in first morning class till the whole day.. That morning, after entering the drawing class felt more like an unorganised mess! I have never put my thoughts into text until it was a part of the assignment, I've always translated my visuals into drawings but never in text so yeah it was new to me. But when I actually started thinking about the scenario created in class words were coming to my mind. I don't know I was doing it right or wrong, Plastic wrap, yellow potted plant, white light, yellow light, black painted ladder, black tire, stairs, walls, lights, confused people, paints, sketchbooks, wooden fence, dust, white paint, black paint, trolley, success, key, etc etc. These were some of the words that were coming to my mind and I started writing and it was an on going process until I filled 3,4 pages of my sketchbook. It was one creative assignment that actually push you to do it a accomplish it! Cheers.

Today - I decided to travel again in metro bus and interacted with some people. I asked them to write/draw their view about how they think about Pakistan and what things need to be change.. most of them hesitated at first they were surprised that why would someone care and why would our opinion matter, they were thinking I’m going to publish this in newspapers or I’m from some agency. But after some struggle few finally decided to write something and when they started writing so many things were coming from them like ‘Hum angrezo k ghulam hain’, 'amreeka ne humpe hukmurani karli hai’, 'Waha to janwar ki jaan ki b keemat yaha k insaan se ziyada hai’ Also, Some of them were very positive! 'Ye hamara mulk hai humain iski hifazat khud karni chahye’ 'Pakistan hai to hum b hain’. There was a old lady praising me, she was happy that someone is there who think our(local citizens) opinion matter, she said I travel daily in metro but I’ve never seen anyone talking about our country 'mujhe bht khushi hoe k aap ko hamare mulk ki parwa hai or Allah ap ko is kaam mai kamyab kare or is mulk k halaat behtar hojain, mere Marne se pehle’.

Today in my first ride I saw so many people bumping into each other who were coming back from work and colleges.. it was a hot day today even some people smelled really bad that I had to cover my nose with my dupatta, Apart from all these circumstances I started to act.
