Honey Diaries: The Week That Wouldn’t Quit 📂☕

If last week was a gentle one, this one is a full-on symphony of deadlines, client calls, and “just one more tweak” emails. My simself/I barely had time to breathe between back-to-back meetings at Simprint Studios, racing to finalize mockups, and juggling to-do lists that seemed to grow faster than I could tick them off.

There were moments I thought, “Okay, this is it, I’m officially tapped out.” But somehow, between coffee runs with co-workers, a sweet midday text from my love, and the satisfaction of seeing those green checkmarks on my task list, I kept going.

I’m still learning to balance the grind with the gentle, carving out time to breathe even when the schedule says otherwise.

So here’s to showing up, pushing through, and remembering that the busiest seasons often bring the most growth. 🌿✨

It was raining—it seemed to always be doing that lately. The soft sounds of the droplets hitting the windshield filled the otherwise quiet vehicle, the wipers fending off the onslaught of downpour. I usually liked the rain, but not today, not at the moment.

I was sitting in the back of the car, listening to Pa try to start up a conversation with Fletcher in the front seat. It was uncomfortable to listen to. Fletcher barely responded, and I could hear the falter in Pa's voice. I couldn't blame him for trying; I tried too, I just had less luck. To be fair, Fletcher always got like this, though, on therapy days. He'd started going recently, and he wasn't miraculously okay after a couple of visits, of course; things didn't work out that way, but he seemed…better. To me—and everyone else, too—better was good.

But, he still wouldn’t talk to me.

Until a couple of days later, when he finally did…
